In Revelation chapter one, the Lord Jesus tells John to write letters
to the seven churches of Asia, which are:

1) Ephesus
2) Smyrna
3) Pergmaos
4) Thyiatira
5) Sardis
6) Philadelphia
7) Laodicea

If the Patriarchs of Genesis 5 are matched to the Church list above,
the Jared (Descend, Patriarch six) matches the Philadelphia church.

This seems confirmed by the following verse, which contains the
"descending" concept, or that which comes down:

Revelation 3:12
"Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and
he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God,
and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which
cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my
new name."

No other letter mentions this concept, so this seems to be a match.
