"Re: Gary Rich "Three benefits of making Jesus Lord of your life""

Gary, Loved your post: http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/jan2013/garyr122-1.htm

If you are Christ's then look what is yours:

1 Corinthians 3:
21.  Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours;
 22.  Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours;
 23.  And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.

Example: In summer of 2011 my wife and I had to move and we had been paying much less than the going rent rate and had to move after I had lived there for 20 years. In the natural things looked bleak but God told me to trust Him and not to even look for a place because He already knew what He was going to do.

Long story short, we dodged many would-be miserable outcomes by waiting on the Lord and ended up in a wonderful little guest house with the best landlords ever. But that lasted one year before we had to move again due to a complaint from the former tenant against the landlord about code violations - just to be mean (too long to go into). Same scenario all over again and this time trusting God yielded us an even bigger guest house only a few miles away from where we were and more benefits for only a little more per month...

Letting God be Lord over your life is the only way to live! Because if Jesus is not Lord of your life then really nothing is yours for very long. It is all just temporary before you lose it.

Taste and see that the Lord is good today!

Luke 12:

 20.  But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
 21.  So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
 22.  And he said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on.
 23.  The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment.
