Scriptures/instructions are even IN the Bible then,
huh?? For us to merely *IGNORE*
them!! /again, major sarcasm....
I
find it interesting that JESUS HIMSELF spoke these words &
yet you choose to ignore them.
So this is only for the rest who ARE interested in
pleasing the Lord with our lives & following & obeying
His word, then let's look at His word:
2 Peter 3:14
Therefore, beloved, looking forward to these things, be
diligent to be found by Him in peace, without spot and
blameless; 15
and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is
salvation—as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the
wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all
his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are
some things hard to understand, which untaught and
unstable people twist to their own destruction, as they do
also the rest of the Scriptures.
1 Timothy 4:16
Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them,
because if you do, you will save both yourself and your
hearers.
2 Timothy 4:3
For the time will come when men will not put up with sound
doctrine.
Instead, to suit their own
desires, they will gather around them a great number of
teachers to say what their itching ears WANT to hear.
2 Peter 2:1-3 However,
there also came to be false prophets among the people, as
there will also be false teachers among you. These very ones
will quietly bring in destructive sects and will disown even
the owner that bought them, bringing speedy destruction upon
themselves. 2 Furthermore, many will follow their acts of
loose conduct, and on account of these the way of the truth
will be spoken of abusively. 3 Also, with covetousness they
will exploit you with counterfeit words. But as for
them, the judgment from of old is not moving slowly, and the
destruction of them is not slumbering.
2 Timothy 2:19 Nevertheless
the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: “The
Lord knows those who are His,” and, “Let everyone who names
the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
Get that folks? As
Christians: ones who walk after Jesus walked, ones
who choose to follow & obey Him in holy God-honoring
conduct: the seal that we have is when we name the
name of Christ AND "depart from iniquity".
I'd greatly suggest running over
to youtube & listening to some of Paul Washer's
sermons. The guy is FANTASTIC!! In one, he
claims he'd rather be standing next to liberal politicians
than to "conservative preachers" on Judgment Day -- b/c
the conservative preachers tell people to merely come forward
& make a decision for the Lord ~ and then teach it's "okay
to live their lives just any ol' way" ~ sure go out &
party-hardy..... doesn't matter. ..... b/c now you
"beee-lieve" in Jesus!! They will have the
blood of countless souls on their hands.
NOTE: even the demons
BELIEVE in Jesus!!!! And they are not heading to
heaven.
