I've already written about various systems that are being developed to use smart phones for monetary transactions. Now another system is being designed through a joint venture with AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile. (22) The system is known as Isis, and the wireless companies are hoping to roll out the system in about a year and a half. Michael Abbott, the chief executive officer of Isis, seems to have big plans for the program. "While mobile payments will be at the core of our offering, it is only the start. We plan to create a mobile wallet that ultimately eliminates the need for consumers to carry cash, credit and debit cards, reward cards, coupons, tickets and transit passes." (23) It is interesting to note that the new system is called Isis, which is named after a pagan goddess from ancient Egyptian mythology. Isis was believed to be the mother of the Egyptian god Horus. Horus also has ties to our money system as his all-seeing eye is prominently featured on the back of the United States' one-dollar bill….

Hmmm......so what happens if you lose this phone, (someone steals your phone) and smart phone instantly provides access to all your bank accounts, lines of credit and credit cards. Plus, since you lost your phone you can't call anyone. You have to search for a pay phone......Good Luck.....since Pay Phones are a thing of the past.

Once cash is eliminated combined with the demand that all purchases exceeding $600/year require you to prepare an IRS form 1099, this Isis phone will have literally all of your transactions. No doubt all this information will be submitted to the Gov't (IRS, FBI, CIA, NSA, you name it) on a real time basis. Every move you make, every place you go, everything you do will be tracked by our ever intrusive big brother gov't. If you disagree with or dare to criticize big brother gov't, you are ipso facto a TERRORIST. Your Isis smart phone will be used against you. Welcome to the American Gestapo.
We are being hung by our race for more technology. The noose is already around our necks......it just needs to be gradually tightened.
