Yes, It was my pastor. He married a decent Christian woman who had been a childhood friend and neighbor. It was the second marriage for both of them. She had several adult children. One of them married a gang banger girl, involved in a drug running gang at the Mexican border. Her husband had been killed by the border patrol while running drugs. A classic case of a Christian falling for the wrong person. Sadly, the young man had no work ethic, so really struggled providing for his new family. They eventually had four children. After repeatedly getting thrown out of apartments, his mom allowed them to live downstairs in her big house. Well, even that did not go well. They were not able or willing to pay rent. After almost a decade of this, the mother retired, and had to go back east to take care of her now very elderly father. So her and her husband, my pastor, had to sell the house to move. This enraged the gang banger girl, since she/ they now found themselves out on the street with no home and very little money. So, she put out a death contract/ hit on the pastor, wanting the gang to kill him, somehow blaming him for losing their free ride situation. Then, God acted and took the life of the gang banger girl, and so she died in her 30's. The moral lesson here is obvious, do not marry someone who is not a believer, and especially someone who is a member of a street gang. Lewis B
