Yes, in most cases, I believe so. Otherwise you stretch out God's plan for dealing with the angelic rebellion far beyond the allotted 7000 years. Satan fell and rebelled while walking in heaven among the firey stones before God's throne. God's creation of humanity was to resolve the angelic conflict. God felt He needed to show that he was right and Satan was wrong. He also wanted a family who would choose to love Him. I believe these facts show the Genesis 1:1/1:2 gap theory to be false. Lewis B
