Reply to Gino re Doctrine/NDEs

In the 21rst Century, living in the "latter days" -- the "end times" (the soon ending of the Age of Grace) -- we have the advantage of hindsight from a compilation of books now in our Bible that were not widely available or compiled together in the past as they are today.

Consider that the Bible was written by men, inspired by God, who didn't always have full  understanding based on the time in which they lived and the lack of scriptures as laid out to us today.  Forty some authors wrote over many centuries of time based on what they knew; for many of those authors it was prior to the time of Christ's resurrection.

For example, the Psalmist, King David, wrote before the resurrection of Jesus appealing to God to let him live because once he died he wouldn't be able to praise Him from the grave:  "For in death there is no remembrance of Thee: in the grave who shall give You thanks?" Psalm 6:5  Those living post-resurrection now know that isn't the case, plus the Apostle Paul wrote that "absent from the body is present with the Lord." 2 Corinthians 5:6-8

Also consider the three "comforters" of Job, who wrote many chapters of right-sounding arguments in his book, yet God let them know they were wrong about Job and made Job offer sacrifices to Him for their errors.

Per the prophecy in Daniel 12:4 he was told:  "But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased."  The Bible Codes reveal a secret:  The word "computer" shows for that verse meaning knowledge would increase in the end time because of computers.  Because of computers we can now read testimonies by people all over the world who report on their near death experiences (NDEs) giving us much insight into what previously has been hidden from us. [NDERF, Near-Death Experience Research Foundation; the largest NDE website in the world:  https://www.nderf.org/

Some who die prematurely make the mistake of thinking that because they didn't see God on the other side there is, therefore, no God.  Or they only see a great light and do not recognize it is Jesus.  However, those of us with a Biblical background have a better understanding and discernment without having to die to obtain it.  On the other side, Jesus doesn't always pre-empt one's spiritual knowledge which they come to life to obtain, so He doesn't always reveal fully who He is.  He doesn't tell them everything either.  He returns individuals like that to continue their life experience to hopefully come to knowledge of Him through their experiences within that lifetime.

There is a tendency, however, by some to look at verses/doctrine in the Bible with strict application not considering all the evidence Biblically and therefore, remain hard and fast that we live and die only once.  For example, "And it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment." Hebrews 9:27  Biblical evidence in the New Testament, however, reveals that Jesus raised many from the dead (i.e., Lazarus; the young son of a widow; Dorcas (Acts 9:39); also a young girl) which meant they lived and died at least twice -- not just once.  Even Elijah in the Old Testament raised a widow's son from death.

Now, in the 21rst century, with the advantage of hindsight, we also have modern testimonies to compare to.  For example:

Dannion Brinkley, a former sniper for the US military in Vietnam, killed many enemies.  He was electrocuted to death by lightning on three different occasions and returned to life three times.

On a Coast-to-Coast AM Radio Talk Show, hosted by Art Bell, Dannion told how on the other side he was given a life review each time he died and gained profound lessons on living from Heaven.  He was shown how his shooting of one man affected that man's wife and kids and the ripple effect it had that resulted over the process of each generation for some time thereafter.

As a result, Dannion returned to life with a change of heart and purpose for living.  He dedicated his life to helping counsel veterans who were dying.  That means he lived three times and, if he hasn't already died, he will eventually die a fourth time and will be judged a fourth time -- all from one lifetime here on Earth!

This means that "it is appointed unto men once to die.." really means "eventually" we will die (or get Raptured) and face judgment, as we might live, die, face judgment (life review) and return numerous times in that one lifetime alone.

In other words, it is our understanding that has to be opened and expanded, not that there is error in the verse or doctrine.  We need to examine all the evidence and apply it since we now have the advantage of living with hindsight from past millennia that was not available or was misunderstood by those before us since knowledge has been vastly increased in this the 21rst century and must be applied.
