Unless I was reading incorrectly, it seems that there is something that both Donna and yourself are not too different in regard to.It would appear that you both consider that there will be enemies of the LORD killed at the time of the second advent and also at the end of the thousand year kingdom.I also agree with that, and I had thought that's what Donna was referring to.The culmination of the plagues, Armageddon, and then the sheep / goat judgment, will result in the death of many enemies of the LORD.
Then some thousand years later, there will be a massive number of people gathered against the camp of the saints and the beloved city, who will also be killed.As to the use of the word, "tares", there is a distinction made regarding what the term is defined as:
Matthew 13:38b but the tares are the children of the wicked one;
So, in that aspect, I agree with the term applied to both groups of the enemies of the LORD: one group at the time of the second advent & the other a thousand years later.Yet there may be room for some debate, regarding the strict use of the term exclusively only applied to the enemies of the LORD at the time when Jesus returns.When considering the harvest to be more closely related to the time leading up to the second advent, rather than at the end of the thousand year kingdom:
Matthew 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.
However, it seems that many people may be born during the thousand year kingdom, apparently with a number of them following Jesus.Yet, considering the gathering to compass the camp of the saints, many of those born during the thousand years will be enemies of the LORD.But the devil will be in the bottomless pit during that thousand years, so he won't be sowing them, like he did prior to the second advent:
Matthew 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Even though people born during the thousand years will still be born with Adam's fallen nature, a number will follow Jesus, yet a number will not.But when the devil is released from the pit, he will then gather all that other number together, to collectively compass the camp of the saints.
