Interested readers - 

Late last summer I was speaking to a family member about the famous book, “Alas, Babylon”, the fictional account of the survival of a small Florida community when nuclear war breaks out between Russia, the United States and the rest of the world. Revelation 18:10 is why the novel was titled as it was and that verse features prominently in the book. 

We were in a room on the second floor of my house, sitting right next to an open window.  It was late afternoon and I could see clearly out that window through the trees that the sun was going down in the west. 

It was a typical hot summer day, perfectly clear, no rain, no clouds, no thunderstorms, no nothing.

Suddenly out of nowhere while I was speaking there was a lightening strike right outside the window, CCRRAACK!!!!

My family member and I were both stunned and shaken and I immediately jumped back away from the window. 

I’m not a person who goes around looking for “signs” everywhere (Deuteronomy 18:10-12 forbids that), but I thought it a validation that the events of the book were coming upon the world, especially the USA. This is the second of two supernatural signs that happened to me in regard to that book. 

Everyone should spend $.99 and go to the App Store of your choice and buy and read the novel “Alas, Babylon”, written by Pat Frank and first published in 1959. It is probably the most famous of the post WW2 apocalyptic novels.
