Hello John and Doves,
In this letter I wrote about a
possible 9 Nisan Rapture based on what was written in John
about Lazarus. Jesus had supper with the newly
resurrected Lazarus and his two sisters, six days
before the Passover! And the next
day on 10 Nisan He rode the donkey into
Jerusalem.
Lazarus was resurrected shortly
before 10 Nisan - there was a set day for his
resurrection. And Jesus timed it perfectly with HIs
arrival at the tomb. (Jesus purposefully arrived 4 days
after Lazarus had died.) This 'set day', for Lazarus',
was his "resurrection at the last day". Martha
stated/prophesied this. And Jesus made it happen.
Will the anniversary of Lazarus'
"resurrection at the last day" also be ours? There is
a set day for us too! Will our "resurrection from the
grave" be on 9 Nisan? In two letters I sent in last week, I wrote about a
Rapture possibility on or before 10 Nisan - the day the
prophetic clock stopped with Jesus' prophetic words before
His Triumphal Entry.
Looking at John 11:
The other day, I was reading the
book of John 11 - the story of Lazarus. Many
believe that Lazarus was 'resurrected' shortly before the
Last Passover. Days before. And because I'm
interested in 10 Nisan as possibly being the day the
prophetic clock stopped (and will start again on 10 Nisan in
the future)...I wanted to see if there were any 'clues' to a
Rapture during that time. The word had spread in
Jerusalem that Jesus 'had called Lazarus out of his grave' -
so many came to meet Jesus during this Passover
celebration. So the occurrence of this miracle was
indeed very new.
The Resurrection of Lazarus:
After Lazarus died and was buried,
Jesus came near to Bethany where Lazarus
had lived with his sisters Mary and Martha.
John 11:5 said "Now Jesus loved
Martha, and her sister (Mary), and Lazarus."
When Martha went out to meet Jesus,
she told Him that if He'd been here, "my brother had not
died." Jesus replied, "Thy brother shall rise
again. Martha said unto Him, "I know that he
shall rise again in the resurrection at the last
day." "Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and
the life: he that believeth in me, though he were
dead, yet shall he live.." John 11: 21 - 26
Then Jesus went to Lazarus' grave
and told him to "come forth." Lazarus was raised from
the dead. This resurrection was a 'type' of 'last day'
for him. Martha said Lazarus would rise "at the last
day."
Jesus told us that "Whoso eateth my
flesh and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will
raise him up at the last day." John 6:54
In John 6:44 Jesus said, "No one
can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws
him. And I will raise him up on the last day."
In John 6:39 - 40 Jesus said, "This
is the will of Him who sent Me, that I should lose nothing
of all that He has given me but raise it up on the
last day." For this is the will of My
Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in
Him should have eternal life, and I will raise Him up on
the last day."
'last' is the Greek word
'eschate' - it's the same Greek word for at the 'last'
trumpet in 1 Corinthians 15:52.
Is this 'last day' what Jesus
referred to when He said, "And if I go and prepare a
place for you, I will come again, and receive
you unto myself, that where I am, there ye
may be also." This is referring to the Rapture and
not the Second Coming.
'Receive' is also "to take to,
to take with oneself, to join to oneself', "to
take with one in order to carry away", "to take one's
betrothed to his home". This is not a return
to Earth - this is a taking away to Jesus' Home.
The Timing:
It was six days before the
Passover, that would be 9 Nisan, Jesus went to Bethany and
had supper with Lazarus, and Martha and Mary. It was
on this day (or shortly before this day?) that Jesus raised
Lazarus from the dead.
"Then Jesus six days before the Passover came
to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he
raised from the dead. There they made him a
supper..." It was at this meal that Mary anointed the
feet of Jesus. John 12:1-2
The day after Mary anointed Jesus
with ointment at that meal, Jesus rode the donkey into
Jerusalem. This was on 10 Nisan.
"On the
next day (after the meal with Lazarus and his sisters) much
people that were come to the feast, when they heard that
Jesus was coming to Jerusalem. Took branches of palm
tress and went forth to meet Him, and cried Hosanna:
Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of
the Lord." John 12:1-13
We are specifically told the timing
of these things. What was the purpose of this - 'six
days before the Passover', 'on the next day'? Is this
a clue to help us find 'the last day' - the day of Lazarus'
resurrection/our Rapture?
A Clue To the Watchmen?:
Is
'the last day' statement before 10 Nisan a clue for
us?
For those who are looking at the
possibility of a Nisan Rapture, could this be a clue?
"The Last Day" right before Jesus rode the donkey into
Jerusalem and stopped and wept, and Jesus said: "If
only you had known on this day what would
bring you peace! But now it is hidden from your
eyes. For the days will come upon you when your
enemies will barricade you "..."They will level you to the
ground - you and the children within your walls.
They will not leave one stone on another, because you
did not recognize the time of your visitation
from God." Luke 19:41 - 44
It is just an interesting
'coincidence' that Lazarus was 'resurrected' shortly before
Jesus entered Jerusalem on 10 Nisan? IF the prophetic
clock starts on some 10 Nisan, I would expect the Rapture to
be on that day or shortly before that. Some believe
that Lazarus was resurrected on 9 Nisan. Passover
starts on the 15th day of the month of Nisan. First
night of a full moon after the vernal/Spring equinox.
Many will miss 'the time of His
visitation' yet again. But that day, also has a
prophecy from Jesus. He prophesied on the first 10
Nisan about the destruction of Jerusalem and the scattering
of the people. And He has also prophesied about
another time that will be followed by great tribulation, but
this time is for the whole world, such that the world has
never seen before.
We saw what happened when His
visitation 'on this day' was missed by the Jewish people and
followed by a prophecy of destruction. We have another
prophecy of great tribulation for missing another visitation
'on this day' - a set/appointed day in the future.
The Orthodox Church believes that
Lazarus was resurrected the day before the Triumphal Entry -
9 Nisan:
Again - there are multiple
calendars - remember, the Jews start their days with
sunset the evening before, ending with sunset of that
day. I believe each month begins with the sighting
of the new moon.
Chabad.org
calendar: Triumphal Entry: 10 Nisan is April
8 Eve of Passover: 14 Nisan is April
12. Passover is 15 Nisan, April 13
Passover Festival: 15 Nisan
- 22 Nisan is April 13 to April 20. (Passover Day 8)
Some celebrate for seven days.
For the torah calendar: 10
Nisan is April 8/9 sunset to sunset. Eve of
Passover: 14 Nisan is April 12/13. Passover is
15 Nisan, April 14
Passover Festival: 15 Nisan
- 22 Nisan is April 13/14 - April 19/20 (Passover Day
7) So this calendar is one day off of the Chabad
calendar.
Was Lazarus Resurrected on 9
Nisan?:
It's quite possible
that our Rapture will be on 9 Nisan (April 7/8? depending
the calendar/new moon sighting). This year.
And like Lazarus, this would be 'our resurrection at
the last day' to take us Home.
Prepare for
His Visitation! Surely, He is coming
soon!
Pray for the peace of
Jerusalem!
Maranatha!
