Is all hope lost?  No, but I would say the chances of turning the ship around are getting slimmer.  Much slimmer.  It will take an intervention from God through a ton of prayer plus a ton of principled confrontation.  Restoring the America that was designed by our Founders will require an upheaval that most citizens of this country aren't likely to want.

I would hardly say hope is lost ... if one's hope is centered on the right thing.  All the stuff we really want is yet ahead; it's just not under the rubric of a republican form of government.  We've tried that; it devolved into a democracy, as republics ALWAYS have.  As my U.S. history teacher used to say, "what we need is a benevolent despot" and of course that's EXACTLY what we need - King Jesus to clear out the planet of its evil-doers and establish His Kingdom.

So we need to see the collapse of the U.S. government (which is just a branch office of the British Crown anyway) as a necessary step towards what we really desire.

God is not going to intervene, except perhaps to nudge things along.  I used to believe very much in any legitimate efforts to restore "the America that was designed by our Founders" but I don't think that's God's plan.

No, His plan is much, much better!
