I have wondered, for a while, though, that if, according to that oral tradition, mentioned in that article, why didn't Zerubbabel and Ezra know about it?

Certainly, if it was known by rabbis and others then it would have been brought into the second temple.

But, that never happened.

So, why would rabbis, today, who still reject Jesus as their Messiah, have more spiritual insight about the ark, than did Zerubbabel and Ezra?
