Hello John and Doves,Nothing will happen to Israel outside of God's will. The angels of God have been very busy with all that's going on in the Middle East. They are actively doing God's bidding.
And Michael is the protector of Israel. The protector of the people of Daniel.Daniel tells us of a time at the end when Michael will stand up - "the great prince who stands watch over the children of they people: And there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time they people shall be delivered, everyone that shall be found written in the book." Daniel 12:1I was interested in learning more about this angel Michael - and found that he is the only angel that the Bible refers to as an 'archangel'. "The Greek word for "archangel" (archaggelos) means "chief angel" or "chief messenger"." In Hebrew he is the "great captain", "the great prince" or "the great chief" - 'haggadol hassar'In the Old Testament he is one of the chief princes - so there are others. (Daniel 10:13) In Daniel we also learned about the prince of Persia and the prince of Greece (Daniel 10:20) - these are evil angels.Michael is also the angel or great prince who stands guard over Daniels' people. (Daniel 12:1)And it was Michael who disputed with Satan over Moses' body. (Jude 1:9) It was in this verse we read the only words spoken by Michael (that were recorded) - Michael said "The Lord rebuke thee."I looked up 'rebuke' - rebuke as "reprimand" or "scold" just doesn't fit Michael's words to satan. Rebuke can also mean "to hack down" or "beat back", "censure severely or angrily", "trounce", "spurn", "haul over the coals", "to give a thrashing", "lambaste", That's more like it.In the Revelation we are told about a war in heaven, between the devil and his demonic army and Michael and his angels. Michael and his angels kick the devil and his forces out of heaven down to the earth. (Revelation 12:7-9) Michael is a warrior - a military commander of angels. It was Michael who helped the angel that appeared to Daniel - the angel was delayed by the "prince of Persia" for 21 days. After meeting with Daniel this angel said he had to return to fighting this "prince of Persia" and the "prince of Greece" will come. (Daniel 10:21)And maybe it was the angel Michael that God sent in Exodus 23:20: "Behold, I send an angel before you, to guard you on the way and to bring you to the place which I have prepared."When the world is "teetering on Armageddon"..."this angelic being Michael shows up." In Daniel 12, we learn that in the end times, "these last days of the Tribulation, he's still fighting. Michael stands up to protect God's people.""The Archangel Michael serves God in his job as head of the Lord's army, but he also is the main angel tasked in protecting Israel. Michael is the strongest of the angels that we know of, and interestingly, he is the one whom God sends to protect Israel."
