In the link is a timeline of the Holocaust. I have tried every search term I can think of to attempt to make sense of the 7 year long Holocaust. It was an horrific time of torture, imprisonment, families torn apart, brutal medical experiments, gas chambers etc. The list goes on. It ended in the death of 6 million Jewish people. I know other ethnicities died but I am focusing on the Jewish people here. It nags away at me like a loose tooth. I can't stop shoving the idea of it around my head. Although the Bible mentions nothing about it - the only conclusion I can come to is that the Holocaust served to cut short the days of the great tribulation. Almighty God says that if He didn't cut short those days, there would be no flesh left. Think about that for a moment. Everything hinges on Israel and the Jewish people. Only when Israel repents will we have peace in Jerusalem - therefore the world.
If a nuclear type war were to break out now (very possible) there is NO way that this world could last another 7 years without wiping out humanity. NO WAY! Because when WW3 is declared, it will swiftly become a nuclear war. We have to recognise that evil maniacs are running the show right now.
I won't labour the point. Try and ponder Matthew 24:22 and think about HOW Almighty God 'cuts those days short'. I remain convinced that the Holocaust was part and parcel of cutting short the tribulation.
