The Messiah shall enter thru the Eastern Gate, the one he left thru to be crucified!

The Eastern gate is blocked up and the Muslims will not let you go near it because they know of the scripture that states the Messiah will return thru the Eastern gate.
There was a book I read many years that dealt with Jesus being crucified on the Mount of olives, outside the gate just like the Red Heifer was. So that would be directly east of the curtain covering the Holy of Holy's. That means they could see the curtain being torn from that angle. There was also a bridge that crossed the Kidron Valley from the Eastern gate to the Mount of Olives. Apparently this bridge collapsed from the great earthquake at the resurrection.

BTW the real Eastern gate is directly below the present Eastern gate, found by James Fleming many years ago. The Old City of Jerusalem is a Tel and currently about 60 feet above the original. So a the great earthquake that occurs when Jesus touches his foot on the Mt of Olives may expose the original gate.

The Dome of the Tablets or The Dome of the Spirits is as Lois states directly about the Arc of the Covenant. Solomon created a room below the Holy of Holy's that the Arc could be placed in case of invasion. Apparently that has been verified many years ago by an exploration by some Rabbi's and students. A well known 'secret' among many orthodox Jews.
