I don't know if this means anything but it just had to be posted. Sirius is going to be eclipsed for 1.8 seconds in a very, very rare eclipse. This is happening on February 18th, 2019. According to the blurb in the article, the eclipse will happen between 09.11pm PST and 09.27 PST with Sirius fading to minimum brightness for 0.2 seconds of that time. When you access the link - go to the archive section on the top right hand side and put the date back to February 16th to access the article.
