""ONCE TO DIE""
Ephesians 2:1-3
And "you" hath he "quickened," who "were dead" in trespasses and
sins;
5) Even we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together with
Christ, (by grace ye are saved) 6) And hath "raised us up
together," and made us sit together in heavenly places "in
Christ Jesus:"
How are we quickened?
It is the Spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing:
the "words" that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are
life. John 6:63
( This KJV Book we hold in our hands, his words. Isaiah 34:16
Seek ye out of the book of the Lord, and read: no "one" of
theses shall fail, none shall want her mate: for "my mouth" it
hath commanded, and his spirit "it" hath gathered them. )
Born Again
Except....a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:3
Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. 3:7
That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born
of the Spirit is spirit. 3:6
( my words....they are spirit.....and they are life. John 6:63)
( Hereby know we that "we" dwell in him, and he in us,......Why?
How?....because he hath "given" us of his Spirit. ( His Words)
Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against
thee.
Psalms 119:11
From the moment we were born into this world we die daily. In
the continuance of time. But when we hear the word of the Lord
and (receive) his promise of salvation in Christ, we are born
again of his Spirit.
We....if'...we are in Christ and he in us...we are resurrected.
For Christ said; I AM THE RESSURRECTION.
He said; I AM THE LIFE
He said; HE THAT BELIEVETH IN ME, THOU HE WERE DEAD, YE SHALL HE
LIVE.
We literally are the walking dead. We literally are the walking
resurrected.
Do you believe this?
The two witnesses are preserved for a point in time to fulfill
the purpose for which God has ordained for them.
We are to work, for the night cometh, when no man can work.
Our Lord said; I must work the works of him that sent me, while
it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work. John
9:4
(We were first born of corruptible seed, we are born again of
incorruptible seed.)
That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not
the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted
for the seed. Romans 9:8
1.We are sealed: 2 Corinthians 1:22 Who hath also sealed us, and
given the earnest of the Spirit in our hearts.
2. Israel is sealed the 144000 Revelation 7:3,4
3. Christ, the Son of man was sealed. John 6:27
everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for
him hath God the Father sealed.
Old Testament
Even when we read of the prophet that raised up the child by
laying upon the child, we must remember that these things in the
Old Testament are a "shadow" of the things that were to come.
Even Lazarus who died and Christ said; Lazarus, come forth, and
he came forth after 4 days in the grave. Both these accounts
were "quicken-ings" by the Spirit of God.
Both these accounts required the persons to die again later in
their lives.
INSAMPLES of what the Testimony would bring in the future,
during His life, and after His death, resurrection, and
ascension to the Father.
Christ....the firstfruits of the Father, and then we who are His
at His coming.
Even the Israelites in the wilderness were to wash their bodies
and come not at their wives to the nether part of the mount.
Why?
Because their flesh sheds dead skin cells daily.
( If "in this life only" we have hope in Christ, we are of all
men most miserable. But "now" is Christ risen from the dead, and
"become" the firstfruits of them that slept. For since "by" man
came death, "by" man came also the resurrection of the dead. For
as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made "alive."
But...every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits;
afterward they that are Christ's at his coming. I Corinthians
15:19-23)
There are approximately 2000 years between these passages from
the very next verse 24) THEN cometh the end,
1. when he shall have delivered up the kingdom of God,(
Resurrection and Transformation)
2. even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all
authority and power.
Luke 20:34-38
And Jesus answering said unto them, The children (of this world)
marry, and are given in marriage: But' they which (shall be
accounted worthy) to obtain that' world, and (the resurrection
from the dead) neither marry, nor are given in marriage: Neither
(can they die any more:) for they are equal unto the angels; and
are the children of God, being (the children of the
resurrection.)
NOW..(present tense) that the dead "are" raised (present tense)
even Moses shewed at the bush, when he called the Lord the God
of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob.
38) For God is not the God of the dead, but of the living: (for
ALL live unto him.)
For the righteous....death is a shadow.
Yea though (I walk through) the valley of the shadow of death, I
shall fear (no evil.) For thou art with me.
We walk through the "shadow" of death daily.
They who have died (past tense) being in the Lord at their
death, still live through the (Resurrection) which is Christ.
Their bodies....their flesh....is planted in the ground (as a
seed) and awaits the time of His coming, when He (Christ)
according to Paul will raise that seed from corruptible flesh
and it shall put on incorruptible, in the twinkling of an eye,
and they shall be made "like" Him: for they and we who are alive
at that time, shall be changed into our glorified bodies, and we
shall see him as he is.
There is a passage spoken by our Lord Jesus in 2 places which I
believe represents all we who are reading our Bible, His Word.
1. Matthew 16:28 Verily I' say unto you, (There be some
standing here, which shall not taste of death,) till they see
the Son of man coming in his kingdom.
2. Luke 9:27 But I' tell you of a truth, there be some standing
here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom
of God.
Don't dwell on the (once to die and then cometh the judgment.)
We who love Him and are in Him and He in us, are (already) born
again of the Spirit. So whether we live or whether we die, (We
Are The Lords)
We are the walking dead, and we are the walking resurrected.
For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge,
that if one died for all, then were all dead: And that he died
for all, and that they which live should not henceforth live
unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose
again. Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature:
old things are past away; behold all things become new.
2 Corinthians 5:14,15,17
All things....means ....all things!
In The Flesh
I quote Paul: Philippians 1:20-24
According to my earnest expectation and (my hope) that in
nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as
always, so now also Christ shall be magnified (in my body,)
whether it be by life, or by death. For to me to live is Christ,
and to die is gain. But "if" I live in the flesh, this is the
fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not.
For I am in a strait betwixt (two) having a desire
1. to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:
2. Nevertheless (to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.)
end quote
Thus....we work...for the night cometh when no man can work.
Our Lords Words
I' must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the
night cometh, when no man can work. John 9:4
We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye
receive not the grace of God in vain. (For he saith, I' have
heard thee in the time accepted, and in the day of salvation
have I' succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time;
behold, now is the day of salvation.) 2 Corinthians 6:1-2
Please read the rest of 2 Corinthians 6:3-10
I draw attention to verses 9-10) As unknown, and yet well known;
(as dying, and, behold, we live;) as chastened, and not killed;
As sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many
rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
We read in 1 John 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God "overcometh
the world:" and this is the victory that overcometh the world,
even our faith. 5) Who is he that overcometh the world, but he
that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
Revelation 2:7 To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the
tree of life,
Revelation 2:11 He that overcometh shall not be hurt by the
second death.
Revelation 2:17
Revelation 2:26
Revelation 3:5
Revelation 3:12
Revelation 3:21 He that overcometh will I grant to sit with me
in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my
Father in his throne.
Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and
I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
I John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, "and have overcome
them:" because
greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
We have overcome, therefore we need not be concerned with the
second death.
What is the second death ?
Revelation 20:14 When death and hell is cast into the lake of
fire.
Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the
first resurrection: on such the second death hath no
power,
We die daily...we constantly die while we are in the
flesh...death walking.
We are resurrected because we have Christ dwelling in us daily.
He is the resurrection, he is the eternal life.
We have (past tense), overcome because we have Christ.
He is all and in all. He is the word, the life, the light, he is
that he is.
The King of Kings and Lord of Lords
He has not yet taken the world unto himself. One day soon he
will with power and great glory, and we shall come with him on
that day.
David rode a Mule (a sign of being humble)
Christ our Lord rode a colt of an ass.
One day he will come riding a White Horse, and so shall we. (a
sign of strength and power)
God Bless
