"Children are innocent
until the knowledge of good and evil"
Children are innocent, not under the deeds of the law; there is
a time however, they certainly become in need a Saviour: at the
moment they are ashamed of their nakedness and have knowledge of
good and evil.
Genesis 2:16-17
And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the
garden thou mayest freely eat:
[17] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou
shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof
thou shalt surely die.
Genesis 2:25
And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not
ashamed.
Matthew 18:2-4
And Jesus called a little child unto him, and set him in the
midst of them,
[3] And said, Verily I say unto you, Except ye be converted, and
become as little children, ye shall not enter into the kingdom
of heaven.
[4] Whosoever therefore shall humble himself as this little
child, the same is greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
Romans 7:9
For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment
came, sin revived, and I died.
1 John 3:4
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is
the transgression of the law.
Romans 5:13
(For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed
when there is no law.
Genesis 3:6
And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that
it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make
one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave
also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.
Genesis 3:7
And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they
were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made
themselves aprons.
Genesis 3:21-22
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of
skins, and clothed them.
[22] And the Lord God said, Behold, the man is become as one of
us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand,
and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
2 Samuel 12:21-23
Then said his servants unto him, What thing is this that thou
hast done? thou didst fast and weep for the child, while it was
alive; but when the child was dead, thou didst rise and eat
bread.
[22] And he said, While the child was yet alive, I fasted and
wept: for I said, Who can tell whether God will be gracious to
me, that the child may live?
[23] But now he is dead, wherefore should I fast? can I bring
him back again? I shall go to him, but he shall not return to
me.
Acts 4:10-12
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that
by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom
God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here
before you whole.
[11] This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders,
which is become the head of the corner.
[12] Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none
other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be
saved.
Luke 1:68-70
Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and
redeemed his people,
[69] And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house
of his servant David;
[70] As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have
been since the world began:
Isaiah 61:10
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord, my soul shall be joyful in
my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation,
he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a
bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride
adorneth herself with her jewels.
