At sunset Sunday February 21, 2016; 1 Adar 12 changes to Monday, Monday February 22 (1 Adar 13, 5776) the Biblical start of the Jewish Feast of Purim.
Dear John Tng and all readers of this post, please make sure that you are keenly aware that we are in Jewish Calendar Year 2015 until the 2 Adar 29, 5776 (April 8, 2016). Jewish Calendar Year 2016 starts on Nisan 1, 5776 on April 9, 2016.
Also, please take careful note that this is a Jewish Leap Year; and. there are two (2) months of Adar.
Thus the 12th month is 1 Adar and the 13th month is 2 Adar, 5776. We know from the following verse that wicked Haman chose Adar the twelfth month and 13th day through casting “the lot” or “Pur” day to day from Nisan 1 to determine the day that he would select to annihilate all Jews. This “Pur” became the word Purim and hence the Feast of Purim.

Understanding the Jewish Feast of Purim – Why Adar 13 is the start of Jewish Purim
[Esther 3:7(KJV) and Esther 3:12-13(KJV)]
In the following three verses we find the first Biblical mention of Adar 13 being the day and month for Jewish Purim; and, Erev Pesach (the Eve of Passover--Nisan 13) was the date that wicked Haman initiated the first legal decree to annihilate all Jews.
A number of centuries later, Jesus Christ of Nazareth, the King of the Jews, was arrested and given a mock trial and then was most cruelly tortured, whipped and beaten beyond recognition, and finally crucified and murdered, on Nissan 13 (the Eve of Passover) and then was crucified on Nissan 14 (Jewish Passover). Truly Jesus was the King of the Jews and he died as their sacrificial lamb on Passover and now there will be a great Purim Switch where Israel’s enemies will be annihilated in place of the righteous Jews. I believe that this is about to happen now.
