"Funeral song"
Greetings John and Doves,
This is my mother 77, Aunt Josie 79, and sister Karla 42
practicing for My Aunt Betty's funeral. Aunt Betty went to be
with the Lord this week and wrote the words of this song (to an
old Billie holiday song from the 40's) they sang many times in
church. Also see below a small tribute I placed on Face Book
after she passed descibing the moment of Death.

My Aunt Betty Sarver passed away last evening at 7:28 pm. She
was 91 and just the day before was driving and painting. She was
on no medications, had no arthritis, no pre existing conditions,
no walking aids needed, just a very healthy 91. She was a
perfect example of living a full Christian life. I remember
about 15 years ago she went to get an oil change and was
recognized by a worker who was my foster brother from years
past, he told her it was on the house and refused any money. She
thought about it as she went home and concluded he didn't have
the authority and she immediately wrote and sent the check. This
is who she was. On Monday night she had been lucid all day and
very much in control of her thoughts. She suddenly threw her
right hand in the air, when asked if she needed anything ....she
just said Heaven. The room of witnesses started singing an old
Nazarene Hymn (Softly and Tenderly) and she crossed over before
the song was ended. What a great example of a Christian
life.....even in death.
