"Israel Described As Cancer That Must Be Removed"
Israel Described As Cancer That Must Be Removed
Thirty-five years ago, Iran was one of Israel's staunchest allies. That
all changed when Ayatollah Khomeini led the Islamic revolution that
toppled the Shah and installed a radical theocracy in his place. This
week Iranians celebrated the 35th anniversary of the revolution.
Hundreds of thousands of people thronged streets of Tehran as the
celebration continued.
Of course today, Iran is bitterly opposed to Israel. Despite the
fact that former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, who was known for his
Holocaust denial and public calls for Israel's destruction, has been
replaced with a supposedly more moderate leader, the language coming
from Iran's top leaders is little changed. This past week another
leading cleric declared that Israel is a ³cancer² on the Middle East and
suggested radical surgery to remove the cancer as the only solution to
the problem.
Iran has funded and trained and armed terrorist groups around the world,
particularly the Hamas and Hezbollah terrorists that inhabit Israel's
northern and southern borders. According to Israeli military
intelligence, there are some 170,000 rockets and missiles aimed at the
Jewish state, and the vast majority of those are there because of Iran.
A careful look at the situation Israel is facing makes it abundantly
clear that we must do what we can to help the Jewish People today. That
is why Jewish Voice is working every day with a number of ministry
partners inside Israel to meet the needs of the hungry, the homeless and
the addicted in the name and love of Yeshua. Your contribution of
support today will allow us to continue to do more to help those in
need. Thank you so much for your generous help and your prayers. God
bless you.
To the Jew first and also to the Nations,
Jonathan Bernis
