In the beginning God said: " Let there be Light, and there was Light: God saw the Light was good, and God seperated the Light from the darkness " Gen 1:1-2.v. - but as we also can read in the scripture, darkness was given a time, and we know from the different seasons, time where darkness is strong, and Light is not given so big place.
but remember that the Almighty Creator He seperated the Light from darkness, and it was not allowed the darkness to comprehend the light, - but the time for the eternal change, it is in our Almighty God's hand alone, - and He have it all in and under control, us to if we trust and beleive in Him and the complet Finished redemption and salvation work of Jesus Christ on the Cross !

I deeply understand youre question I have asked the same. But what I got as answers was: Remember what said first in Psalm 2. and later in Psalm 110, the whole psalm, but especially verse 1. - Here in the Holy scriptures we can read how the Almighty God have taken over, and tell Jesus to wait interven, until that part of God's plan it have been fulfilled. also remember what said in Psalm 127, - and of Jacob in Act.15:13-18.v. and so on and on through the Holy scripture, things who have to be fulfilled first.
Another thing we also should try to understand is, the Almighty God is in total control, and it all follow the plan of His, and not in the 'creation's cleaver date speculation's, who sometime look like what happen with Eve when she fall, in the Garden of Eden' - Time is totaly, and alone in the had of our Great God. - also read Psalm 127:1-2.v.
And the restrainer from 2 Tessalonian 2:7.v who have to be taken away. If it's the Holy Spirit, then it also means those who day and night pray to God for to save, - remember Abraham's pray for Lot and Sodom-Gommoreh but also the reaction in Ninevah after Jonah's work. It dont changed the plan of God's, Isaiah 55:6-11.v. - but when God saw the town listened to the warning, they repented, then God gave them a litle more time, - the opposite happen in Sodom-Gommoreh, they did'nt listen, and then judgement happen in a split-second.
