"Psalm 114: The Exodus and The Presence of the Lord"

Dear Doves,

J R Church and F M Riley and others have noticed correlations between each Psalm and the corresponding year, beginning with Psalm 1 in 1900 A D. Let us look to Psalm 114, linked to the current year 2014 on the Gregorian Calendar.

                                                   Psalm 114     New Living Translation

"When the Israelites escaped from Egypt -- when the family of Jacob left that foreign land -- the land of Judah became God's sanctuary, and Israel became his kingdom. The Red Sea saw them coming and hurried out of their way! The water of the Jordan River turned away. The mountains skipped like rams, the hills like lambs! What happened, Jordan River, that made you hurry out of their way? Why, mountains, did you skip like rams? Why, hills, like lambs? Tremble, o earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob. He turned the rock into a pool of water; yes, a spring of water flowed from solid rock."

There are 8 verses in Psalm 114. A premiere Noah number is 8, which signifies new beginnings. Themes of Psalm 114 include the following: The Exodus, escape, departure, Pharaoh, Egypt, sanctuary, kingdom, Red Sea, Jordan River, water, rams, lambs, shaking of the earth, the presence of the Lord, the God of Jacob, rock, pool, and spring. Of all Psalms from 100 to 120, symbolic of years 2000 to 2020, The Exodus is prominent in Psalm 114! In Psalms 111, 112 and 113 is a subtitle of Praise the Lord. Not so in Psalm 114. Might 2014 be the transitional year of The Greater Exodus, of the family, bride and body of Messiah/Christ taking departure and exodus in The Blessed Hope? Psalm 114:7 mentions the shaking or trembling of Planet Earth at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob. At The Blessed Hope, Christ will appear in all His Majesty, the Lord, the King of kings and the Lord of lords! Remember the motifs: exodus, redeemer, deliverance, redemption, new beginnings, the Israelites, Pharaoh, Egypt, departure from hard rigor and bitter bondage, hope, future, belief, faith, trust, appointment, protection, providence, sanctuary, kosher sacrificial animals, kingdom, water, rock, God of Jacob, and the Presence of the Lord! Does Psalm 114 clearly point to 2014 and the Presence of the Lord at the shaking of Planet Earth during the events of The Blessed Hope? Time will tell.

With Love and Shalom,
Jean
