Australian Timelines - 7 February 2014
I wanted to draw attention to some interesting, possibly prophetic, timelines for Australia. There are four important aspects: the significance of 7 February; Australia’s 114th year; the drought in much of the country; and astronomical signs for Australia this year. Importance of 7 February
It was only a year or so ago that I became aware of the historical significance of 7 February. While Australia Day is celebrated on 26 January, the proclamation of the new colony of New South Wales actually occurred on 7 February 1788 - excerpt from proclamation below:
(from www.statusquo.org) 7 February 1788 was the memorable day which established a regular form of Government on the coast of New South Wales. On a space previously cleared, the whole colony was assembled. The Royal Commission was then read. Arthur Phillip was Governor in Chief in and over the territory, called New South Wales.
We are here to take possession of this fifth division of the globe on behalf of the British people, and to found a State which, we hope, will not only occupy and rule this great country, but will also be the beneficent patroness of the entire southern hemisphere. How grand is the prospect which lies before this youthful nation!
This historical event took place 226 years ago! More recently, this date has been (exactly) book-ended by two major fire events in Australia; Tasmania on 7 February 1967 and Victoria on 7 February 2009. Could this timeline have a link to revival in Australia? The Jubilee year would start in just two years - this would be 49 years from the Tasmanian fires and seven years from the Victorian fires. If so, the (much-prophesied) revival in Australis must be at the doors. Israel is clearly God’s primary clock - it is interesting, however, were just four months before Israel’s capture of Jerusalem on 7 June 1967.
Australia’s 114th Year - link to Psalm 114?
1 When Israel came forth out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language. 2 Judah became [God’s] sanctuary and Israel His dominion. 4 The mountains skipped like rams, the little hills like lambs. 7 Tremble, O earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob, 8 Who turned the rock into a pool of water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
There are some who believe that there is a link between God’s purposes in our times and the numbering of the Psalms. This could well be the case. Australia became a nation on 1 January 1901, just as the outpouring of the Spirit was starting in the United States (covered in the letter link above). Australia is perhaps uniquely in its 114th year as a nation. Amongst other truths in Psalm 114, there are two of particular note: Israel coming out of Egypt (type of the world) and the trembling of the Earth at the presence of the Lord. In Australia, by the way, the rock (verse 8) is a reference to Uluru/Ayer’s Rock.
Weather Signs - the Drought
Without going into detail, many parts of Australia are at present experiencing a serious drought - almost no rain for several weeks here in Canberra and very little dew, because the whole atmosphere is so dry! Our backyard is as dry as it has ever been! This is reminiscent of the time of drought in Elijah’s days! The drought may also be a sign - both in the natural and the spiritual - that the rain in the time of the latter rain, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, is imminent.
Astronomical Signs in Australia – 2014
Blood red moons, a partial eclipse of the Sun, comets and meteor showers ... just some of the special sky treats to catch this year. I came across a very good article on Australia’s astronomical signs in 2014, prepared by Ian Musgrave and reported on by our national broadcaster (www.abc.net.au). The direct link is below:

Of particular note are the two total lunar eclipses (part of the four blood moons tetrad) on 15 April and 8 October, and a partial solar eclipse on 29 April (177 days from the total solar eclipse of 3 November 2013.
