"Re:  JFH / Marilyn Agee and Bow and Bo revisited""

Quote from JFH:

Dear Marilyn Agee, thanks for your response.  I'm interested to know what others think.  I choose to believe that the bow is not just a piece of fabric but the New Covenant [rain]bow reminiscent of Noah's rainbow covenant from God.

Regarding:

And I saw, and behold a white horse: and he that sat on him had a bow; and a crown was given unto him: and he went forth conquering, and to conquer.  Revelation 6:2

Since you asked:

The word "bow" as used in Revelation 6:2, translated from the Greek means fabric, a bow of fabric, nothing more, nothing less.  This particular Greek word occurs only once in one verse in the Bible, namely Revelation 6:2.

Also, the word "crown" is found 66 times in 66 verses in the Bible but as used in Revelation 6:2, translated from the Greek, but as found in Strongs can mean a crown made up of a wreath of garland.

Back in 2009 I had posted my view as to the identity of the one on the white horse, (as well as my view on the other riders.)
