EXACTLY!

I just told someone not even a few hours ago (via email) how it is is difficult for one who has been watching and alert since a very young age and now that things are getting "exciting" in the prophetic wall watching, it's difficult for flesh and even spirit to sometimes not get caught up in that and continually warn others, but the Holy Spirit continually cautions me to watch AND WAIT.  It's an observational waiting period, not for the sake of others so much as an alertness to a new task set before us, and we will know when we see and hear, faithfully praying and seeking Him, shoring up spiritual armor and preparing for days ahead when the Holy Spirit will change the "jobs" of wall watchers to other things, such as hope bringers and encouragement givers and to feed and lead (not through our own will but all glory and credit goes to Him).

There is so much more, but you said it perfectly.  God is doing some things in the lives of watchers on the walls.  We know the enemy may be at the wall and now we turn our attention to those things He's asking of us.  I pray we all feel His presence and hear His voice.
