John the Baptist and the 7th day of Unleavened Bread (Red Sea crossing)
Isaiah
21:9-10
Look,
here comes a man in a chariot
with
a team of horses.
And he gives back the answer:
‘Babylon
has fallen, has fallen!
All the images of its gods
lie
shattered on the ground!’”
My
people who are crushed on the threshing floor,
I tell
you what I have heard
from the Lord
Almighty,
from
the God of Israel.
Ruth 3:2 Is not Boaz, with whose servant girls you have
been, a kinsman of ours? Tonight he will be winnowing
barley on the threshing floor.
Jeremiah 51:
33 This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says:
“Daughter
Babylon is like a threshing floor
at
the time it is trampled;
the
time to harvest her will soon come.”
37 Babylon will
be a heap of ruins,
a
haunt of jackals,
an object of horror and scorn,
a
place where no one lives.
38 Her people all roar
like young lions,
they
growl like lion cubs.
39 But while they are
aroused,
I
will set out a feast for them
and
make them drunk,
so that they shout with laughter—
then
sleep forever and not awake,”
declares the Lord.
40 “I will bring them
down
like lambs to the slaughter,
like
rams and goats.
41 “How Sheshak will be captured,
the
boast of the whole earth seized!
How desolate Babylon will be
among
the nations!
42 The sea will rise
over Babylon;
its
roaring waves will cover her.
43 Her towns will be desolate
(abomination causes the desolation),
a dry
and desert land,
a land where no one lives,
through
which no one travels.
Notice in
both chapters (Isaiah 21 and Jeremiah 51), when talking
about the fall of Babylon, the threshing floor is
mentioned. The threshing floor is also mentioned in
Ruth, when Boaz is threshing barley and she lies at his
feet. The next day, he became her Kinsman Redeemer.
Jeremiah also mentions here that the SEA WILL RISE,
again a remembrance of when the Israelites crossed the
Red Sea and the sea covered the enemies of God.
Matthew 3:11-12 “I baptize you
with water for repentance. But after me comes one who
is more powerful than I, whose sandals I am not worthy
to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy
Spirit and fire.
His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear
his threshing floor, gathering his wheat into
the barn and burning up the chaff with unquenchable
fire.”
2 Peter 3:11-13 Since
everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of
people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and
godly lives as you look forward to the
day of God and speed its coming. That day will
bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire,
and the elements will melt in the heat. But
in keeping with his promise we are looking 
forward to
a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness
dwells.
1 Corinthians 10:2 For I do not want you to be ignorant
of the fact, brothers, that our forefathers were all
under the cloud and that they all passed through the
sea. They were all baptized into Moses in the cloud
and in the sea.
Here we again have the connection to the 7th day of
Unleavened Bread. Paul tells us that this crossing of
the Red Sea (that took place on the 7th day of
Unleavened Bread) was a type of baptism, a foreshadow of
what was to come.
I believe that
John the Baptist was very likely pointing to the 7th day
of Unleavened Bread by baptizing people and pointing to
Jesus baptizing with fire in the future. As far as we
know, John the Baptist was the one who started the
practice of baptism as a sign of repentance. In the
Jewish mind, this must have brought back the imagery of
the crossing of the Red Sea, and Paul tells us as much
in 1 Corinthians 10. Jesus continued this practice and
to this day, baptism is the public sign of repentance
and faith in Christ. Baptism points us back to the
crossing of the Red Sea, which
points us back to the 7th day of Unleavened Bread. Every
time a person is baptized, they are pointing
(unknowingly) to the 7th day of Unleavened Bread and the
crossing of the Red Sea. This event (crossing the Red
Sea) was symbolic of us leaving the world (Egypt) for
good - being completely free from
the world - and the destruction of the enemies of God on
this day
.
John the Baptist tells us that Jesus will baptize us
with fire and brings it back to
the threshing floor, which
points to Isaiah 21 and Jeremiah 51, as well as Ruth 3,
which talk about the fall of Babylon, the time of
harvest, a man coming in a chariot, tsunamis or the
sea rising, our Kinsman Redeemer at the time of the
barley harvest, and the threshing floor.
As we all know, Ruth was the GENTILE BRIDE. This is why we are also using the GENTILE calendar. Esther married Xerxes on the first day of the fourth month from the Jewish New Year, on the 7th day of what would later become Hanukkah. April 1, 2013, is the first day of the fourth month on the Gentile calendar after our New Year begins and is also the 7th day of Unleavened Bread.
I believe
that this is why the Lord pointed to the 7th day of
Hanukkah and why He showed me 12 years ago to transfer
the Jewish festivals onto the Gentile calendar when He
said, "January 1, 2001, represents the Gentile Feast of
Trumpets". This was all a puzzle that He gave me one
piece at a time.
And I also think that this is why He told me I would be
as John the Baptist. John pointed to the 7th day of
Passover through starting to baptize people and
talking about Jesus baptizing with FIRE and the
threshing floor and the ax cutting down the
tree. All of these things were prophesying about the
coming 7th day of Passover, when Israel was BAPTIZED
through walking through the Red Sea.
