We read,
"Now,
brethren, concerning the coming
of our Lord Jesus Christ and our
gathering together to him..." [2
Thess. 2:1]
The Lord's coming and
our being gathered
together to Him are
referring to the same Day.
"Let no one deceive you
by any means; for that Day will
not come unless the falling away
comes first..." [2 Thess.2:3]
The falling away is
referring to all those in the
Church who fall away from a
living faith in Christ.
Millions of
Christians don't even realise
they've fallen away!
How could this be
possible?
How could one
depart from a
living faith in
Christ and not know it?
Very simply by, after
coming to Christ, accepting
a fundamental lie as
the truth.
What is the lie that
has been so widely accepted
as truth in the Church today?
It's that a
person can practise lawlessness
and therefore NOT practise
righteousness, and still claim
to be a believer as long as they
believe in the death and
resurrection of
Jesus Christ.
The Lord called
such people "workers of
iniquity"
"Many will say to me in
that day, Lord, Lord, have we
not prophesied in thy name? and
in thy name have cast out
devils? and in thy name done
many wonderful works?"
"And then will I
profess unto them, I never knew
you depart from me, ye that
work iniquity."
[Matt.7:22,23]
"Strive to
enter in at the strait
gate: for many, I say unto you,
will seek to enter in, and shall
not be able."
When once the master of
the house is risen up, and hath
shut the door, and ye begin to
stand without [outside], and to
knock at the door, saying, Lord,
Lord, open unto us; and he shall
answer and say unto you, I know
you not whence ye are:
"Then shall ye begin to
say, We have eaten and drunk in
thy presence [that is, observed
the Holy
Supper], and thou hast taught in
our streets."
"But he shall say, I
tell you, I know you not whence
ye are; depart from me, all ye workers
of iniquity." [Luke
13:24 -27]
The word "iniquity" in
the above verses comes from the
Greek word "adikia" and it means
"unrighteousness"
The Church
is filled with people who from
habit, day in day out, are workers
of unrighteousness!
I urge
everyone to read the following
words very carefully, for they
are a prophetic prayer the Lord
wants us to offer up to Him in
these Last days of deception and
delusion.
"Oh continue
Your loving-kindness to those who know
You,
"And Your
righteousness to the
upright in heart,
"Let not the foot of
pride come against me,
"And let not the
hand of the wicked drive me
away.
"There the workers of
iniquity have fallen;
"They have been
cast down and
are not able to rise."
[Psalm 36:10 - 12]
The word "iniquity" in
the above verse comes from the
Hebrew word "aven" and it means
to be "unrighteous"
In the Church
today there are many
Pastors, Teachers, Prophets
and Evangelists that are
actually workers of
unrighteousness.
They've
been led to believe that the Lord
doesn't see the wickedness they
inflict continuously on
their wives, children and members
of their congregations.
They have
fallen away, and through their
false teachings, are
leading millions of undiscerning
Christians into the Great
tribulation to be chastised.
This is the price millions of
Christians will pay for being
deceived.
False
teachings that have a direct adverse
effect on the Christian conduct,
will only be rejected by those
practising
them, when they're being chastised
by the Lord.
Many Christians, believe in
error, that the Lord will not
leave any of His children behind
to be chastised, for not keeping
His commandments.
They've
been lulled into a false sense of
security.
They're
ignoring the prophetic Word
spoken by David, under the
anointing of the Holy Spirit
regarding the Lord Jesus
Christ and us, His incorruptible seed!
"...I will make Him My
Firstborn [the resurrected
Christ], the highest of the kings
of the earth.
"My mercy I will keep for Him
forever...His
seed [that's us] also I
will make
to endure forever...if his sons [that's
us] forsake my law
and do not walk in My judgements,
If they break My statutes and
do not keep My commandments, then
I will punish their transgression
with the rod, and their iniquity
with stripes".[Psalm 89:27-32]
The Word leaves us in no
doubt who the Lord uses as
instruments of His punishment.
"I will be his Father, and he
shall be My son. If he commits
iniquity, I will chasten him with
the rod of
men and with the blows of the
sons of men.
"But My mercy shall not depart
from him..." [2 Sam.7:14,15]
The Lord loves us so much and
doesn't want any of us to
experience being chastised for
living in iniquity because we were
deceived by false teachings!
This is why the
Word tells us again and again
NOT to be deceived.
Luke 21:8,
1Cor.6:9,1Cor.15:33, Gal 6:7,
James 1:16.
If we choose to ignore these
warnings and we find ourselves in
the Great Tribulation we'll have
only ourselves to blame.
May the Lord find all of us
ready when He comes!
Ola.
