"2 church foundations"

I wanted to quote two different scriptures and hope everyone would read them and pray they see the truth.

Matthew 16:16-18
16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

What did God reveal to Peter? That Jesus is the Messiah!. What did Jesus tell him? That upon this rock or "foundation" I will build my church.Church is an assembly of like minded people. What church is this foundation? It is the Gospel of the Kingdom. Heaven on Earth that was promised all throughout the Old Testament. When Peter preached in Acts 2 what did he preach?

Acts2:36-38
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made the same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Peter was "building" on the foundation that Jesus, whom THEY crucified, is the Messiah! They are to repent (change their mind amd believe that Jesus is the Messiah) and be baptized for the remission of sins. This is what Peter was told to preach and this is the foundation or rock he is building on.

Now fast forward to 1 Corinthians 3.
1 Corinthians 3:10-
10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire

What I want to point out above is that Paul is saying he was the one given the foundation. If this foundation is the same one given to Peter than why didn't Paul say he is still building on the foundation that was given to Peter. Of course then Paul goes on to say that some people will not build anything on the foundation but after the fire they will still be saved.

The point to see here is that the foundation or rock that Peter and the apostle were to build on is that Jesus was the Messiah and that the Jews crucified him. Repent and be baptized. The foundation that Paul built on was the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus. As long as the "builders" were on the correct foundation then they were saved. In today's world and until the rapture the foundation is NOT that you believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Even the demons believe this. It is that you believe in the death burial and resurrection of Jesus as the Messiah, and that he took your place on the cross.

I hope this makes sense to someone and that you can open your hearts and minds to the truth of the scripture and believe what it says.

thanks
