In re Donna's comments at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/feb2013/donnad225-1.htm about my comments on Malachy at http://www.fivedoves.com/letters/feb2013/jovial215-3.htm , I never said I believed in the gap theory. In fact I never said I considered Malachy reliable either. I was simply pointing out that it was POSSIBLE to interpret his words that way. I am more inclined to conclude he was not promoting a gap. But I was simply pointing out that it was possible to interpret what he said that way.
I am expecting that the next Pope will be connected with the Name of Peter and to Rome or some derivative name in some way, simply because if he is not , it would be to easy to ignore Malachy, and I'm willing to bet there are enough people with voting power who will want to psych people out to turn the momentum to someone who fits that description. In other words, I think Malachy's predictions will influence this election, whether he heard from G-d or not, and we will have to wait a LOT LONGER to find out if he was right.
If he did hear from G-d, the last pope won't be the false messiah. The last pope can only be the false messiah he DIDN'T hear from G-d. Because Malachy said the Petrus Romanus would be faithful to the truth, although most people miss that when they read what he said.
We're told that the false messiah will not recognize ANY other god. That's one reason I don't think the false prophet will come from within the Church. I'm expecting more of a New Age model of belief system, like Benny Creme and the Meitraya of England style of person. I'm expecting someone who will give no credence to Catholicism and will work to defame ALL denominations that have ANY belief in Yeshua whatsoever.
