"IS BRUSSELS THE FUTURE CAPITAL OF THE BEAST?"

Many if not most people point towards Rome as the city where the false messiah will rise from.  After all....

  • It sits on 7 hills
  • The Romans destroyed the temple, and Daniel 9:26 identifies the false messiah as coming from the people who would "destroy the city and the sanctuary".

But Brussels sits on 7 hills too, and it was part of the Roman Empire.  It is now capital of the modern day version of the Roman Empire, known as the European Union.

http://biblelight.net/Tower-of-Babel.htm shows how Brussels is presently building a tower that is intended to mimic how the ancient Tower of Bablyon was always concieved of being and also shows a picture of the famous "Many Tongues, One Voice" poster that is all over Europe in which the European Union attempts to identify itself as Babylon.

And for many centuries, Europe has used the below image as its symbol; Europa riding the Beast.

This is not something new and was a symbol John the Revelator might have recognized when he wrote the Book of  Revelation since it was used in his days.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Europa_(mythology) includes a statue of Europa Riding the Beast from 460-480 BC and another Greek vase engraving of the same thing from about the same time period!!  No one knows how long Europa has been a symbol of the Roman Empire in various forms, but make no mistake about it.....she's been such a symbol for a long time, and one Europe has readily embraced as a symbol for the EU in modern times.

http://warsrumourswars.blogspot.com/2011/04/europe-rides-beast-official-eu-symbols.html shows several examples of how Europa Riding the Beast is a popular theme for advertisers, magazines, etc., because it is a popular symbol there of the EU.

So there may not be a need to move the capital of Europe back to Rome in order to fullfill Scripture.  Having the false messiah rise out of Brussells is a fulfillment I can see no contradiction to.

I am not advocating this is the case.  I am simply saying that I think we should be as open to as many scenarios as possible, and that this one is possible.  I still lean towards the idea that Rome is the city we are looking for though.

So ponder on the yonder,

Joe
