"A Closer Look at Isaiah 9:10 Part 3: What Does it mean?"

Having already covered the idea in my previos posts at

that no, I doubt think Isa 9:10 was written specifically to refer to the USA, but yes, our culture fits it and yes, maybe, modern events were guided so as to fit it as a warning to us, let me proceed with asking the next question.  If ALL of Isa 9:10 really does fit us in our modern times, what does it tell us we DON'T ALREADY know?  That is, we can retro fit to 9/11, but how does that help us predict the future?

Well, we would have to interpret the names of places cited as symbolic.

ז  דָּבָר שָׁלַח אֲדֹנָי, בְּיַעֲקֹב; וְנָפַל, בְּיִשְׂרָאֵל.

7 The Lord sent a word into Jacob (He who grasps/follows at the heal),
and it has fallen in Israel (He who struggles with G-d).

ח  וְיָדְעוּ הָעָם כֻּלּוֹ, אֶפְרַיִם וְיוֹשֵׁב שֹׁמְרוֹן, בְּגַאֲוָה וּבְגֹדֶל לֵבָב, לֵאמֹר.

8 And all the people shall know, Ephraim (doubly fruitful) and the inhabitant of Samaria (Preserve) , that say in pride and in arrogancy of heart: Could the reference to Preserve (Samaria) and Double Fruitful (Ephraim) refer symbolically to those who want to preserve the Twin Towers?

ט  לְבֵנִים נָפָלוּ, וְגָזִית נִבְנֶה; שִׁקְמִים גֻּדָּעוּ, וַאֲרָזִים נַחֲלִיף.

9 'The bricks are fallen, but we will build with hewn stones;
the sycamores are cut down, but we will re-plant with cedars.'

Those who wanted to preserve the Twin towers did exactly this.  See Cahn's video at Youtube.

י  וַיְשַׂגֵּב יְהוָה אֶת-צָרֵי רְצִין, עָלָיו; וְאֶת-אֹיְבָיו, יְסַכְסֵךְ.

10 Therefore the LORD doth set upon high the adversaries of Rezin against him, and spur his enemies; Could Rezin refer to political correctness? 

יא  אֲרָם מִקֶּדֶם, וּפְלִשְׁתִּים מֵאָחוֹר, וַיֹּאכְלוּ אֶת-יִשְׂרָאֵל, בְּכָל-פֶּה; בְּכָל-זֹאת לֹא-שָׁב אַפּוֹ, וְעוֹד יָדוֹ נְטוּיָה.

11 The Arameans (I will lift up) on the east, and the Philistines (invaders) on the west; and they devour Israel with open mouth. For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still. How will those who lift up and invade "devour" us?

When we start TRANSLATING the names of places instead of transliterating them (e.g., Render Ephraim into English as "Double Fruitful"), new insights begin to open up.  You really can see "Those who want to preserve the Twin Towers" in the symbolism of Isa 9:8/9 in referencing Ephraim and Samaria.  And whatever degree this was meant to apply to America, I would think it applies more to our financial system than it does to the political entity of the United States of America. 

I can see The Arameans (I will lift up) on the east referring to those who want to lift up the Twin Towers in New York, which is in the Eastern part of the USA.  The invaders in the West?  Could that be the Chinese, or Russians?  We've heard plenty of intel reports that our Chief has struck a deal for them to invade America to "stabalize" it when the time is right.  Or perhaps it won't be a a military invasion.  Perhaps China will simply buy up our stock when the stock market collapses.

At http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqmUw_fl4QQ&feature=youtube_gdata_player , Cahn discusses how G-d has brought judgement on Elul 29 in 7 year cycles on Shmitta years.  So if Cahn is right, and if America is judged poorly in the next Shmitta, (and those are two big IFs), then that might indicate that the market might collapse again in Fall of 2015.  I am not necessarily saying it will, I am simply saying that such a conclusion is the natural conclusion IF both of those things are true, which again, are two BIG IFs.

If that is true, (and again, it is a big "IF"), is there a clue as to HOW it might collapse?  In Oct 29, 1929 (last day of Sukkot that year), the market crashed in a way that can definitely be described as the market eating itself or "devour ... with open mouth."  The market killed itself by allowing leveraged purchases; it only required people to pay 10% of the stock price, which artificially inflated the stock price, and when they asked people to pay face value, the market crashed back down to what it was really worth, triggering a run on the banks.  The market's arrogance brought itself down that year. 

If I had to guess where the biggest similar weakness is today, I'd say the fact that they allow short purchases, and I can see that causing a crash in the future. But if "Rezin" is behind some potential crash of 2015, perhaps something involving political correctness will bring it down, like the government artificially giving favor to certain businesses (AIG, GMC, any business "too big to fail"), while ignoring other businesses that are similar.  Perhaps the government's attempt to make winners out of losers, or vice versa, will cause the next crash.  For example, the governments grants to Solyndra turned out to be a waste.  We did so out of political correctness, not because it was a good business plan.  And there's no sign that this administration has learned from its mistake either.

Keep in mind this is all speculation.  I am not claiming any prophetic insight.  And there are multiple ways we might see these symbols being fulfilled.  But I thought it might be worth mentioning.
