BACKGROUND:

I grew up around all kinds of horses in the Amish/Mennonite Communities; and, I learned to ride and drive horses hitched to buggies, carts, wagons, and all kinds of farming implements on the farms and ranches as a young lad.  I love horses.  They are magnificent and very powerful animals.  So naturally I love to watch horse racing.  When I saw the movie "SECRET”ARIAT" it brought back many memories.  It was 1973 May/June.  Watergate was in full swing on Richard Nixon.  I lived in Memphis, Tennessee at that time.  In October, 1973 we witnessed the horrible Yom Kippur War which could have annihilated Israel if it were not for Richard Nixon taking Golda Meir's telephone call from Israel to the Whitehouse, in the middle of the night.  RICHARD NIXON'S GODLY QUAKER MOTHER had prepared little Richard for that very moment.  Have you heard this story portrayed in a film "Beyond All Odds"?

 

My Godly mother (and father) also prepared me as a small lad to one day have great faith and a ministry.

SYNOPIS OF THE STORY:

SHAM'S OWNER "PONCHO" represents the devil (his horse is black) and he just stands there shaking his head and mutters:  "this is impossible….Folks, let's be the devil's worst nightmare as we run the final short stint "100 Yard Dash" to the finish line!!!!!

 

Sham's owner has bet everything on believing that Secretariat "CANNOT GO THE DISTANCE", based on the Stud (Sire "Bold Ruler") who sired “Secret”ariat.  The Sire (Bold Ruler) was fast and up to now, so were his colts; but, they were not good enough TO PERSEVERE at the end of a mile and 1/2 race as in the Belmont.  [SATAN IS COUNTING ON US NOT GOING THE FULL DISTANCE….I, E," POOPING OUT" (AND MAYBE QUITTING) WHEN THE GOING GET'S REALLY TOUGH TO IMPOSSIBLE.]

Penny Chenery (Diane Lane) did her homework and picked THE BROODMARE (SOMETHING ROYAL) who had birthed many fouls with the breeding and ability for endurance and distance running….THIS MOTHER ("BIG RED'S" DAM) WAS “SECRET”ARIAT'S SECRET WEAPON that Sham's owner (the devil) didn't understand. 

 

[SATAN DOES NOT UNDER STAND THAT WE WILL WIN THROUGH (AND BECAUSE OF] THE SEED OF THE WOMAN…(GENESIS 3:15(NIV) And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring  and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”]

 

THEN THERE'S THE GREAT CLOUD OF WITNESSES WATCHING HEBREWS 12:1

[Hebrews 12:1(NIV) Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

 

Folks, the "Therefore" in Heb 12:1 refers back to the entire narration of Hebrews Chapter 11 which immediately precedes this verse!  Read that entire Chapter; it is dynamite!]

 

Here is what I told my dear Godly mother just before she died in April, 2007.  When you get to heaven mom, tell Dad, my Grand parents and all the Godly relatives (i.e. Noah Troyer) who have gone before us, to pray for me….grab hold of the horns of the alter… tell the angels and tell Jesus to send His resources and a mighty anointing that I may complete my assigned ministry well. 

 

I often feel that mighty anointing and my prayers have been answered!   My paternal Grandfather was Moses Jeremiah Troyer, a well-respected preacher and Bishop in the Amish Mennonite Communities.

 

I was born into this world by a very Godly woman, Verna Coblentz, daughter of Moses M. Coblentz my Godly maternal Grandpa; and, my Godly father Harvey M. Troyer met my mother when his father moved from Hutchinson, Kansas to Pryor, Oklahoma to become the new Bishop of that Amish Church Community.  As a lad I heard my Paternal Grandfather preach sermons in German, Pennsylvania Dutch.  He could quote from all four major prophets by heart; but, Jeremiah and Isaiah were his favorites. 

 

Isn't it amazing what the LORD has revealed to Moses Jeremiah Troyer's grandson (that's me, I'm Harvey Troyer, Jr)?  It is a message of repentance and soon coming judgment to America.  The Lord inspired me to make a 72-Page Color-Coded Mini Prophecy Bible in the NIV Text, which gives the most powerful core prophecy of America being the End-time Babylon.  All glory goes to the Lord Jesus Christ who knows the end from the beginning.  He is so majestic.  It humbles me to think that He even knows who I am.  I am his humble servant, an adopted son of the Greatest Rabbi that ever walked this Earth!

MY FAVORITE SCENE IN THE WHOLE MOVIE IS WHERE SECRETARIAT STARTS "SPRINTING AHEAD" AT THE ONE-MILE MARK AND JUST KEEPS POURING IT ON GETTING FASTER UNTIL HE SURGES ACROSS THE FINISH LINE A FULL 31 LENGTHS AHEAD BREAKING ALL RECORDS. 

 

As Secretariat is pulling ahead (in the final TRIPLE CROWN winner- takes-all Belmont Stakes Race) in the backstretch the announcer says that "Secretariat is moving like a tremendous machine" and Sham's owner is muttering and shaking his head…this can't be, this is impossible….and then everything gets quiet at the last turn as the camera focuses on this turn waiting for Secretariat to come thundering into view…then the narration from owner Diane Lane from the book of Job 39:19-25 Re: the magnificence of the mighty war horse  (OR RACE HORSE ..."BIG RED" also called "SECRETARIAT")….immediately I thought of Isaiah Chapter 21, The Desert Storm War(s) Chapter, which I will also explain a little later.

 

[Now read [Job 39:22-25 NIV) 22) He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; he does not shy away from the sword. 23) The quiver rattles against his side, along with the flashing spear and lance. 24) In frenzied excitement he eats up the ground; he cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds.]

 

Then Secretariat literally bursts around the final turn straining and thundering in mighty galloping bounds with head lifted high, all the final way to and across the finish line.  All this to the most heavenly song and music (O HAPPY DAY WHEN JESUS WASHED MY SINS AWAY!!!!!!!  Wow, what a picture!!!!!!!  My High School Varsity Number was “20” = REDEMPTION! I’m so glad the He redeemed me with His own precious blood.  I love Him so much!

 

He taught me how to watch and pray and live rejoicing every day,

O HAPPY DAY, O HAPPY DAY …..WHEN JESUS WASHED MY SINS AWAY….JUST AS SECRETARIAT LUNGES OVER THE FINISH LINE 31 FULL LENGTHS IN THE LEAD--WOW!  I thought, "this is exactly what I will be thinking as I cross the finish line".  O HAPPY DAY WHEN JESUS WASHED ME SINS AWAY!!!!!!!!  AND WE (I) WILL HEAR THE "WELL DONE [HARVEY TROYER, JR] GOOD AND FAITHFUL SERVANT, ENTER INTO THE JOY OF THY LORD as our heavenly family and the angels cheer!!!!
