"RE: Lynette: 02.25.13: wise & foolish virgins"

Lynette,

In that video it had that all ten virgins were a faithful group of people, and that they had the Holy Spirit because they had lamps.

However, Jesus said to them,

Matthew 25:12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.

But that is how he speaks of lost people:

Matthew 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Those who are saved are known of Jesus:

John 10:14 I am the good shepherd, and know my sheep, and am known of mine.

I Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

Galatians 4:9 But now, after that ye have known God, or rather are known of God, how turn ye again to the weak and beggarly elements, whereunto ye desire again to be in bondage?

However, when Jesus says, “I know you not”, it is speaking about those thrust out to weeping and gnashing of teeth:

Luke 13:25 When once the master of the house is risen up, and hath shut to the door, and ye begin to stand without, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not whence ye are:

26 Then shall ye begin to say, We have eaten and drunk in thy presence, and thou hast taught in our streets.

27 But he shall say, I tell you, I know you not whence ye are; depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity.

28 There shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when ye shall see Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, and all the prophets, in the kingdom of God, and you yourselves thrust out.

The five foolish virgins, therefore, cannot be saved people. Jesus didn’t know them once and then forget them.

The only thing he forgets is our sins that he washes away in his blood.

                                       Thank you,
