Repost
as this part of my post was not received.
We
are one of seven churches in our area that take it
in turns to have the homeless stay in the church
and we feed them an evening meal and breakfast. I
did my stint on Saturday (17 feb). I put my bible
on the table in the office where I slept for a
couple of hours before making breakfast.
After
breakfast
whilst cleaning my co-worker asked what rice was
doing in my bible, as it fell out of my bible when
he moved it. I didn’t know what he was talking
about, he brought my bible out to me and sure
enough quite a lot of rice fell out! Real
strange I thought, so I jokingly accused him of
staging it, he assured me that he had nothing to
do with it, and no one else had access to the
office. So I was pondering this a little, until I
shared it with my wife in the evening. Nothing
like this has ever happened so I knew it was God
trying to tell me something, what did it mean?
Then I said doesn’t rice have to do with weddings?
We
started to get real excited, look what I found:
By
throwing
rice at the bride and groom at a wedding, guests
symbolically wish them a lifetime full of these
blessings.
Veronica
picked up her bible and it fell open to:
Rev
19:7 Let us
be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for
the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife
hath made herself ready.
WOOHOO!
Be
blessed
