A Call to War a Good Warfare (I Timothy 1:18) Early this morning, the phrase: false teachers and a thought dropped into my spirit. So I got up and searched my KJV electronic bible for the phrase. It’s II Peter2:1 “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” At 74 among other things I drive a school bus to keep active. I do intercessory prayer in the Spirit while driving. The experience helps me see what the anti-christ spirit is doing to our children, and I pray against it and for churches, homes, and families I drive past. I love to pray the promises of God. One of my favorates that I war with daily is Job 22:28: “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” In my former life I was a career infantry officer (three combat tours in Vietnam). I am interested in current history and how it relates to biblical prophecy. A lot is going on in 2013 which others are highlighting which tells us who watch, the time is short before the night comes where no one can work. Current headlines make me very hopeful that the clear promise of His Soon Coming is at the door. In a close-in attack I can tell you first hand the infantry looks forward to precision artillery fire in direct support. For me that is how I think of intelligently applied prayer in His Mighty Name. It seems the LORD is about to move his Mighty Hand to execute a Promised Deliverance. We need to be in watchful prayer. The false teachers of the AC are everywhere and having a telling effect on many who profess Christ as Savior. We see deception and apostasy all around us. Be doing as your LORD said to do: WATCH and PRAY (Luke 21:36). Don’t let the enemy of your soul distract you. Semper Fidelis, Dave Winecoff www.waragoodwarfare.com
