""unworthy" believers"
Hi Gino, I am also very interested in other peoples view points
(re:partial rapture). Except, I would have to disagree with your
point
that those who do not believe that they are worthy "are not
prideful."
I believe it is very prideful to believe that we are not worthy.
God
says we are worthy (because of HIS work in us and because of
Jesus
death) and He loves us. When we believe that we are not worthy
of that
unconditional love and His gifts to us, we are saying that our
opinion
of ourselves is more important that that of God's opinion. It is
very
prideful to say that we are not worthy, Just my 2 cents.
Back when I
was a teen and I was struggling with my self esteem, I had a
friend
point out the obvious, my low opinion of myself was very
prideful
because God created me in His own image. Was I so prideful that
my
opinion of myself was more important than His? This always stuck
with
me. Just a thought! We would never be worthy but because of
Jesus
sacrifice, He has made us worthy.
