"To Jason C - PreTrib Rapture question - dead in Christ first"

Jason,  I read your post on 5 Doves regarding whether or not the rapture is pre-tribulation.  The answer that you received when you prayed was "THE DEAD IN CHRIST RISE FIRST".   Looks like God is pointing you to scripture and to Himself for information rather than other people's opinions.  Those words are in I Thessalonians 4:13-18:

13But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:
17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Would it be a comfort to one another if we are left to suffer in the tribulation before going home to be with the Lord?  The problem is that some have gotten caught up with their own thoughts and opinions and taken verses out of context to support those ideas.  Do not be swayed by others opinions but rely on God's leading, His voice and His word.

God has plans for the church and plans for Israel.  The tribulation is called the "time of Jacob's trouble".  It is a final period of time - 7 years - when God deals with Israel. In fact, He cannot do that until the church is removed.  When the church, the WHOLE church living and dead are resurrected and changed to iimmortality, are caught up to heaven God turns all of His focus back to the family of Jacob.  During this time God will also bring judgment on the heathen nations that have tormented, oppressed and tried to destroy Israel through the centuries.  We will not be present for that.  Just rest in the love of God and His peace Jason.  Jesus will be here for us very soon now.
