"Re:
Jay -- Prayer for Paul"
Dear Jay and Paul,
Jay, your request for prayer for Paul is my subject.
PRAYER
Dear heavenly Father, please be with Paul as he passes through
this time of uncertainty and trial. Let him feel Your presence
and Your love throughout his body, soul and spirit. We believe
in the finished work of Jesus to make our conversation with You
possible and know that You are always ready to hear our prayers.
Let Paul understand that Your commandment (see 1 John 3:23)
requires us to both believe on the name of Jesus and in addition
to love one another. As we reach out to help others, like Jay is
doing in requesting this prayer, in agape love as instructed by
His commandment, we will be drawn closer to Him and His love. We
need to deny self and take up our cross daily (see Matthew
16:24) and follow Him.
Here are some verses to ponder, and do not forget to read in the
Word each day.
"Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou hast
enlarged me when I was in distress; have mercy on me, and hear
my prayer." Psalms 4:1
"Give ear to my words, O Lord, consider my meditation. Hearken
unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee
will I pray. My voice shalt thou hear in the morning, O Lord; in
the morning will I direct my prayer unto thee, and look up."
Psalms 5:1-3
"The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the
Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
"Psalms 27:1
"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart truted in him,
and I am helped:with my song will I praise him." Psalms 28:7
"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on
thee: because he trusteth in thee." Isaiah 26:3
"Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew
28:20
Thank You Father for hearing this prayer.
AMEN
With love and best wishes to you Paul and to Jay,
Robert
