Thanks. But what is maturity?? Compared to the early church could any of us be called mature?? I think there are more of us who are “spiritually young” than we think there are. I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the “mature” Christians are themselves really but babes. I know many who like to show off their knowledge yet are only knowledgeable in their own eyes. Many want to rule and be in charge of great things I would be ecstatic if I get to be a elementary teacher. It may not be a glamorous high position but to me nothing could be better. I wouldn’t mind doing some research and helping plan a few things in the few years till we have kids but once we start having kids I would want to spend time working with them and helping them grow.PaulArlene (21 Feb 2012)
"Vague answer for Paul..."
Hi Paul....Wow!! I have never even thought about the things your questions asked. Now I have another area of research to do...as if I need another one!
I understand that the "crown" judgments will be given for believers at the rapture (at least that's when I think that judgment will be). But I do know that Jesus will be coming WITH His rewards. According to Revelation 22:12...."And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be." From this, I believe that BEFORE the MK, Jesus will determine what will be our standing during this time regarding ruling and reigning with Him. In other words, what our jobs and duties will be is determined by how we progressed in our Christian life while we are here in "school". If He is going to appoint someone over a higher and more responsible position, then that will be the job for a mature Christian. ! We all received Jesus as our Saviour, but it's what we do with Him afterward that counts for rewards. He gave us a "study manual" called "The Holy Bible". Those who study it grow in knowledge and maturity....those who ignore it, or who just listen to what other people say it says, remain "babies". How much responsibility do we give to children? I would welcome input on this as well...
Again, thanks for the further research idea!
