Before Hurricana Katrina hit New Olins (as the locals pronounce it) the gas prices were $1.83.  They said they would go up because of a refinery damaged by the hurricane.  So here's my question: Haven't they repaired that refinery yet.  The whole things a huge scam.  People were spending their mortgage money on gas instead.  So then we had the housing crisis and then the whole financial crisis.  And the whole time the oil companies made record profits.
 
I just had to vent on that one.
