"REPLY TO PAUL
WILSON: Rev. 21:1 No More Sea"
In reply to your 2/03 post at

I think that there is no more sea on the new earth in Rev. 21:1
because the sea on this present earth represents division.
The earth was originally one land mass surrounded by the oceans
(seas), but according to Genesis 10:25 the earth was divided
during Peleg's days on earth. Please note that the beast with
the seven heads and ten horns comes up out of the sea in Rev.
13:1 so the sea in this case may represent spiritual
division. Rev. 17:15 says, "And he saith unto me, The
waters which thou sawest, where the whore sitteth, are peoples,
multitudes, and nations and tongues." There certainly is a
spiritual division amongst the peoples in the nations because
look at all the different religions in the world which Satan is
behind. So if there is no more sea on the new earth, there
will no longer be any more spiritual division once our Lord
Jesus Christ has completed His 1000 year reign on earth, and
Satan and God's other adversaries are in the lake of fire.
If there is no more spiritual division, there will be no more
lost people as you pointed out because the Holy Spirit will be
dwelling inside of those dwelling on the new earth.
In the Bible, water is also a symbol of the cleansing by the
Holy Spirit. Ephesians 5:25-26, "Husbands, love your wives, even
as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; That
he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by
the word." John 6:63, "It is the spirit that quickeneth;
the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you,
they are spirit, and they are life." John 4:14, "But
whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall
never thirst; but the water that I give him shall be in him a
well of water springing up into everlasting life." John
7:37-39, "In the last day, that great [day] of the feast,
Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come
unto me, and drink.
He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his
belly shall flow rivers of living water. (But this spake
he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive:
for the Holy Ghost was not yet [given]; because that Jesus was
not yet glorified.)"
Being baptized in water is a symbol of being repentant and being
baptized with the Holy Spirit. Acts 11:16, "Then
remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed
baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy
Ghost."
Even if there is no more sea on the new earth (Rev. 21:1) after
the Lord Jesus Christ's 1000 year reign on earth, there will be
a pure river of water of life. Rev. 21:5-6 states,
"And he that sat on the throne said, Behold I make all things
new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true
and faithful. And he said unto me, It is done. I am
Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him
that is athirst of the fountain of water of life freely."
Rev. 22:1 also states, "And He showed me a pure river of water
of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God
and of the Lamb."
