This looks like a match to me.
King James first use of the word "Edge" is found in
Genesis 34:26
"And they slew Hamor and Shechem his son with the edge of the sword, and took Dinah out of Shechem's house, and went out."
found here for word by word breakdown:

This is not the only original language word translated as "Edge."
Strong's 6310 h = "peh".
Genesis 34:26 is the 9th usage of Strong's 6310h. The previous eight are translated as the mouth of the -
Earth, Dove, Damsel, Isaac, Well
This verse translates it as the Edge of a sword. The context is violence. the killing of Hamor and Shechem (his son) to rescue Dinah.
I consider it a match as I've written a lot about Shechem, and that a contemporary version of his Bible type was to be (maybe) watched for, or an event, or news story that involved the name Shechem or the location, and that he also involved the number 1289/Destruction of Damascus. (I admit that the above article is about a 'prayer vision'(?) and not a media event.)

on a side note
the 17th hebrew letter is "Peh".
http://www.bje.org.au/learning/hebrew/alphabet/17peh.html
the 17th triangle number = 153 (John 21:11)
and that all triangle numbers added through this 153 number total
969
which is Methuselah's lifespan, which is the longest mentioned in the Bible. He dies the Bible year of the Flood (1656).
and Methuselah is for sure "the End".
