Dear Doves,THE FIRST AMENDMENT TO THE CONSTITUTION"Congress shall make no law respecting the establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.....Notice that it is Congress which is being restricted or separated in the First Amendment, not religion or the Church. Congress is restricted/separated from the affairs of religion or the Church, but nowhere in the Constitution is religion or the Church restricted or separated from the affairs of the state or the government. The restriction or separation is a 'one-way street' against the government. The Church or religion is not separated or restricted from the affairs of government in any way. There is NO separation of Church and state in the Constitution !The t'raditions of man' can twist the meaning of the framers of the Constitution as well as twist the meaning of the 'Framer of the Scriptures'.Come Lord Jesus!Bruce Warner
