Dear Doves,

 

The 'pre-tribulation' rapture position would have you believe that the entire seven-year '70th Week of Daniel' is 'the tribulation'' rather than only the last forty-two months.

 

The 'pre-tribulation' rapture position would have you believe that 'the restrainer is taken out of the way' (ie. the rapture happens) to release the restraint on the anti-Christ BEFORE the seven-year '70th Week of Daniel' even begins.

 

SCRIPTURE TELLS US:

 

2 Thessalonians 2:6-8

"And now you know what is restraining him"  

I believe that "what is restraining him" is the Christian Church indwelt with the Holy Spirit here on earth. I believe that "him" who is being restrained is the anti-Christ.

 

"that he may be revealed in his own time"

I believe that "he may be revealed" is the time of release of the "restraining of him".  I believe that "in his own time" is forty-two months before the Second Coming of the Lord.

 

"He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way"

I believe that "He who now restrains" is the indwelt Christian Church on earth. I believe that "until He is taken out of the way" is the point of release by the rapture of The Church forty-two months before the Second Coming of the Lord.

 

"And then the lawless one will be revealed"

I believe that "the lawless one" is the anti-Christ. I believe that he "will be revealed" is forty-two months before the Second Coming of the Lord.

 

Revelation 13:2 & 5

"The dragon gave him his power, his throne, and great authority"

I believe that Satan gives the anti-Christ his power, throne and authority "in his own time" which is immediately after the restrainer "is taken out of the way" at the time of the rapture forty-two months before the Second Coming of the Lord.

 

"He was given authority to continue for forty-two months."

I rest my case.
