"Maybe together we can
get to the truth..."
Hi John and all the Doves...
There is a question I have that I'm not sure can be
answered. But, if there is an answer, maybe between all of
us together we can figure it out. During the last few
years, I have encountered a few people who have had an
"encounter" of some sort with someone whom they claimed to be
"Jesus". This encounter caused revelations that were
contrary to what I know to be the truth. They also run
contrary to each other. One has claimed that "Jesus" told
him to prepare for the Tribulation because the church will not
escape. On the other hand, one claimed that "Jesus" told
her several things that will be happening during the time just
before the rapture, and the church will escape this time.
So many people are actually having "face to face" encounters
with someone who claims to be our Lord Jesus.
Is this possible? I believe that Jesus told us that He had
to leav! e before the Holy Spirit could come (John 16:7).
If this is so, then how could both the Holy Spirit (indwelling
believers) and Jesus Christ be here at the same time? If
the Holy Spirit is here to show us "things to come" (John
16:13), then why would it even be necessary for our Lord to make
individual appearances at this time as well? There is
little to nothing about this on the internet...and I have never
heard a sermon on this. I did find one small piece that I
copied from a blog from an unknown person in regards to this:
...till the Holy Spirit 'goes away'. This is a thought that
occured to me today. Jesus said in John 16:7 "But I tell you the
truth: It is for your good that I am going away. Unless I go
away, the Counselor will not come to you; but if I go, I will
send Him to you." The only reason we know of for the 'removal'
of the 'Restrainmer' (Holy Spirit) is according to II Thess. 2
that the AntiChrist & Satan to have their 'full work'.
(It is a mystery why both Jesus and the Holy Spirit would not
minister here on earth at the same time)
Could there be another reason for the 'removal' of the Holy
Spirit as 'the reversal' of John 16:7? There was a span of time
from Jesus's accension to the coming of the Holy Spirit on
Pentecost; so what if there is by necessity that the Holy Spirit
needs to 'accend' also for Jesus to come for the 2nd time (not
rapture) after a span of time (howbeit 7 Yrs).
One thing we know for sure is that Jesus will not leave us as
orphans (John 14:18 "I will not leave you as orphans; I will
come to you").
Well, that's my question, Doves! Who is this "Jesus" who
has appeared "face to face" or in the same room with others to
tell them special revelations? Could it be our Lord,
Himself? Or could it be a deceiving angel? And why
does this "person" appear to some and not to others...Romans
2:11..."For there is no respect of persons with God". The
answer to this may save many from a future deception which will
claim that "Jesus has arrived". And if the Holy Spirit is
still here indwelling believers, we will know for sure this is
actually a deception.
Maybe someone here knows the answer....
