Concerning the Babylon posts ""
Ed, Doves, and Babylon the great watchers,
There is one possibility of Babylon the Great's identity that no
one has brought up.. Zeph. 2 prophesies about the entire
muslim middle east being destroyed in the vicinity of Israel
including Ethiopia. Rev. 17 & 18 talk about the two
witnesses lying dead in the street of the the city known
spiritually as sodom and egypt. Then presumably after that
the Israeli remnant has fled to be hid by God in the Jordanian
wilderness. With Israel gone, Jerusalem would then be the home
of every unclean and hateful bird. We know Babylon falls in the
lgreat tribulation , possibly near it's conclusion.
We know that Jerusalem will be trodden under foot of the
gentiles for 42 months. We also know that the Al-aksa mosque is
the second most revered site in islam, and it happens to sit on
The Lord's temple mount, so it needs to be destroyed by The Lord
with extreme prejudice.
Babylon can also be an allegory for what it was, a usurping
consuming power that controls with force, idolatry and
economic monopoly..a perfect example of islam and
Christianity falsely so-called with heretical teaching that
manipulates with lies and extorts money fraudulently. Jerusalem
is the most likely suspect, in that Jerusalem was said by
the Lord to be who murdered the prophets and saints. ( Rev. 18 :
24 ; Lu. 13 : 34 ) Jerusalem to the heathen is more of an idol
and source of merchandise and livelihood, hence their
lamentation at it's loss, than the revered City of Faith
and crucifixion site we hold dear.
Just a thought
