Is 2025 still the best option for the start of the Tribulation?
Since mid-February of 2025, I have believed that the evidence for the Fall of 2025 to be the start of the Tribulation has been off the charts and more conclusive than any year of my 50+ years of being an end-times Bible Prophecy Watcher. I started writing again to Five Doves in mid-April of this year. Soon it will be 8 long months of several hundred hours of warning people of the soon-coming Sudden Nuclear Destruction that precedes the start of the Tribulation. Of course, the good news has been that the pre-Trib Rapture would accompany the SND. Now we have only 25 possible days left in 2025, as I write this post on December 6th of 2025.
The last post that I wrote was two weeks ago, which pointed to December 1st as the last possible date for the 2520-day Tribulation to begin in 2025. So now where to we stand? Very good question, with no really good answer. In this post, I will attempt to give us several options, as to where we stand, with no particular good option. I am going to give you several possible options as to where we now stand in end times Bible Prophecy, mainly trying to figure out when the Tribulation might begin. I believe that the first Rapture will still be any day before the start of the Tribulation.
Having now had two weeks to re-examine my position as to where we now stand, and only because all of the other options are worse, I have come to the conclusion that with only 25 days left in 2025, that 2025 is still the most likely time for the Tribulation to begin. This means that 2025 is also still the most likely time for the Rapture. Despite the fact that there are not 2520 days left in 2025, in order for the Tribulation to end on any of the Feast Days in 2032, this is still the best option.
There are two main reasons why I have come to this conclusion. The first reason is that there still are multiple specific signs that point directly to 2025 as being THE YEAR. Despite the difficulties this presents to us, we still have 25 more possible days left in 2025. The other reason that 2025 still remains our best option is my prophecy partner in 1999, Bonnie Gaunt. In her very last of several well-researched and well-written books, she was extremely excited as she explains why the 1000-year Millennium HAS to begin in the early Spring of 2033. This will end the 6000 and 2000-year plans for mankind. I realize that this raises several more issues, and I will try to get to them later in this post. The other possibilities raise even more serious reservations, so much so that I have to put 2025 as the most likely time for the Rapture and start of the Tribulation at around 50%. Here are some other possibilities that must be considered, as unlikely as most of them are to actually being fulfilled.
1. Has the Tribulation already started? The only way that I see this as even a remote possibility, is if the October 13th signing of a peace treaty, 7 days before God's appointed Day of Destiny, between Israel and Gaza and her allies, fulfilled Daniel 9:27, with the confirming of the covenant. That would have to make Donald Trump the Antichrist, with no pre-Tribulation Rapture. This option has to make some Watchers very content as it matches what they believe. But for me, I remain convinced that Barack Hussein Obama will become the Antichrist and that there is a Biblical pre-Tribulation Rapture. For these two reasons, I have to put this option at less than 1%.
2. The next option is that the 7-year Tribulation will begin in the Fall of 2026, so the Fall Feast Days can end the Tribulation in the Fall of 2033. This goes contrary to the 6000-year and 2000-year plans for mankind. The Fall of 2026 is simply too late. The Millennium will almost certainly begin in the early Spring of 2033. I must also give this less than a 1% chance of being fulfilled.
3. The next option is that the Tribulation is only 3 and one-half years, or 1260 days, as opposed to 7 Prophetic years. There are some Watchers who believe this, but the number of them is very small. They are of the belief that Jesus fulfilled the first 3 and one-half years of the Daniel 9:27 confirming of the covenant, at His 1st Coming. I must also give this very unlikely option a less than 1% chance of fulfillment.
4. Another option is that the 2032--2033 prophetic timeline is for the beginning of the 7-Year Tribulation, rather than the end. This option totally goes against God's timelines of 6000 years and 2000 years. Does any serious Watcher actually believe that this rapidly deteriorating, and exceedingly sinful world can go another 7 or 8 years before the Rapture/Sudden Nuclear Destruction and the start of the Tribulation? Another option with a less than 1% chance of fulfillment.
5. Many Watchers and websites are considering 2027--2028 to be the next Sabbatical Year, and the Tribulation is supposed to begin on a Sabbatical year. My all-time #1 Bible Prophecy scholar was the late J.R. Church, who taught and firmly believed this doctrine to be true. The last few days this has bothered me. I do not know how many hundreds, or thousands, of years, that researchers have gone back in their calculations to arrive at 2027--2028 to begin the next Sabbatical cycle. For me, God's timetable started in 1948, the year that Israel became a nation. That would mean that 2025 BEGINS THE 11TH 7-Year SABBATICAL CYCLE totaling 77 years. Further confirmation that this is God's calculation is that the number ELEVEN MEANS DISORDER AND JUDGMENT!!! For me at least, this calculation satisfies this potentially big obstacle. This is just one more, of many reasons, to hang on, fellow Watchers, to our blessed hope of 2025 being THE YEAR!
Now, let's look at three more Biblical factors that complicate matters as to exactly how 2025 could still be our best possibility to be the year of the Rapture and the start date of the 7-year Tribulation. The first Biblical factor is the extra 30 days and the extra 45 days in the book of Daniel that may, or may not, be part of the Tribulation. They could be, or they also could be an extra 75 days after the Tribulation. Either way, there are a total of 2595 days, rather than just 2520 days, to consider. Could these extra 75 days play a part in the beginning of the Tribulation, and not just at the end of the Tribulation? This late into 2025, these extra 75 days now become a big X-factor, that has to be considered in any potential calculation of the possible length and possible timeline of the Tribulation.
Another Biblical factor that is even more puzzling and potentially difficult to understand is the 3 Fall Feast Days. The four Spring Feast Days were fulfilled exactly on the four most important events in the year of the death and resurrection of Christ. This was God-designed to try to show the Jews that Jesus was their Messiah. There is simply no way that our Lord is not going to complete his Prophetic plan for the remaining three Fall Feast days. But how? That now becomes the biggest question of God's Tribulation timeline. I see two possibilities, neither one of which I particularly like.
The first possible solution is that God will HAVE to fulfill the 3 remaining Fall Feasts before the Fall of 2032. It has always been assumed by all Watchers that Jesus would fulfill the last 3 Fall Feasts in the actual year of His 2nd Coming, at the end of the Final 7 Years. As difficult as this is for us to consider, could Jesus actually fulfill His 3 remaining Fall Feasts in the Fall of 2031, after 6 years of Tribulation, rather than 7 years?
For many years, I have been convinced of at least two Raptures, and possibly 3. The final Rapture is almost certainly the pre-Wrath Rapture, which I believe will be at the end of 6 years of Tribulation. I believe, as do several Bible Prophecy scholars (I do not consider myself a scholar, but a student of Bible Prophecy) that the Wrath of God is not for seven years, nor for 3 and one-half years, but for one year. At the approximate 6-year point of the Tribulation, Jesus will complete His church, with the pre-Wrath Rapture. This will be a HUGE day for Jesus. This will complete His church, with a vast number that no man could number that came out of the Great Tribulation (Revelation 7:9). Nobody will become part of the His church during the Final year.
The Feast of Trumpets, the 5th of the 7 Feast Days, could easily be fulfilled at this 6-year point. I have to admit that I do not have a good understanding as to exactly how Jesus could fulfill the other two Fall Feast Days at the end of 6 years, but there remains only one other possibility as to how the 3 Fall Feast Days could be fulfilled, if the Millennium is to start in the early Spring of 2033.
The only other option that seems possible to me is found in Matthew 24:22, where Jesus says, referring to the Tribulation, in the previous verse, "And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved, but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened." I have never believed that Jesus meant that there would be less than 2520 days in the Tribulation, but that is the only option that makes any sense for the Tribulation to end in the Fall of 2032, and thereby, fulfill His Final Fall Feast Days.
If one of these two unlikely options is part of God's end times Prophetic plan, then we can still believe that 2025 is THE YEAR! These two options again are that Jesus fulfills His 3 remaining Fall Feast Days in 2031, rather than 2032, after 6 years of Tribulation, or the days are shortened for the elect's sake, and end up being less than 2520 days. With so very many signs still pointing directly to 2025 being THE YEAR, I am believing that one of these two options may become reality. I am about 50% leaning towards 2025 still being THE YEAR. The only other option that I can possibly see is that the Tribulation will begin during the 1st 3 months of 2026, but hopefully we will not have to ever discuss that possibility any further. The delay, or delays, in Revelation 10 and Matthew 25 are another factor that I have discussed in previous posts. How long are the delays? Only God knows.
As to which of the 25 days left in 2025 has the best chance of being the Rapture, it is difficult to even speculate. As to His Coming on a day when we think not, perhaps Christmas day, of Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve. As for the possibility of the Ezekiel 38--39 Battle of Gog and Magog happening this year on Hanukkah Eve, that would be extremely unlikely, as Russia is the main nation that heads this massive attack on Israel, and they more than have their hands full with Ukraine and Europe. That is not to say that the Rapture cannot happen on Hanukkah Eve, or one of the 8 days of Hanukkah. The one day that intrigues me most is December 16--17, as it is the THIRD day of the week, Tuesday, and it is the THIRD day of Hanukkah. Jesus is prophesied to come on the THIRD day.
Jesus is still coming VERY, VERY SOON!!! Do not give up on 2025 yet, as it could very well still be THE YEAR!
Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
Maranatha!
