Australia's very dark day!!

Since 7 October 2023, anti-Semitism has increased disturbingly n Australiia.  Now 14 December 2025 has witnessed true horror.  This terrorist attack was targeted at the Jewish community: Hannukah by the Sea, meant to be a joyful celebration of the start of Hannukah - near Bondi Beach (one of the most visited tourist spots in Australia).

At least 15 innocent lives were lost, as well as one of the two attackers.  This is the worst mass shooting in Australia since 35 people were killed at Port Arthur almost 30 years ago.  A very, very sad day for Australian Jews, and for all Australians.  A day that will change the course of this nation (the Great Southland of the Holy Spirit).

While I do not want to go too far into political issues at this time, two key anti-Israel policies of the present government are to no longer recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and to endorse the two-state (Israel/ Palestine) solution.

I live in Canberra - just 300 kilometres from Sydney.  As I was waking this morning, a ray of sunlight shone into my room.  Hopefully this tragic day will give rise to a new dawn for this land of Australia, that includes stronger support for Australia.

I need to pray more for Israel, a nation critical to God's end-time purposes, and for all of us to trust more in His promises for protection (for example, Psalm 91).  We are in a time of very high watching!
