"After All These Years - Roundup/Glyphosate - 25 Years of Deception"

Hello John and Doves,

Another ugly face of corporate greed and deception.

Glyphosate is back in the news.  This was originally produced by Monsanto and used in their herbicide, Roundup.  Monsanto genetically modified crop seeds (called "Roundup Ready") to 'tolerate glyphosate'.  Farmers can use their seeds and still spray weeds with glyphosate.  How convenient.  These genes are patented.  There is much 'controversy' surrounding the safety of using genetically modified seeds.

Bayer acquired Monsanto in 2018.  There have been thousands of lawsuits filed against Bayer due to "Roundup causing cancer".  Bayer has paid out billions in damages so far...and there may be many more lawsuits coming following the exposure of Monsanto's deception:  We were told that Roundup (weed killer), manufactured by Monsanto, "poses no carcinogenic risk to humans".  It's safe for mammals, birds, fish.  It's biodegradable.  It has no safety issues for humans.

"In June 2020, Bayer agreed to settle more than a hundred thousand Roundup lawsuits, agreeing to pay $8.8 to $9.6 billion to settle those claims and $1.5 billion for future claims."  To prevent more claims, Bayer lobbied Congress to "change legal standards for pesticides labeling in an attempt to reduce its liability.  As of 2024, the EPA planned to reevaluate regulations in 2026."  "In May 2025, Bayer announced that it was making another push to settle the pending lawsuits and that is would consider a Chapter 11 bankruptcy for its Monsanto division..."

Right now, Bayer is moving forward with the Supreme Court - hoping the SC will stop the Roundup cancer lawsuits.  Bayer is saying that if the FDA doesn't have a particular warning on a pesticide, that the manufacturer can't put that warning on their label without EPA approval.

I remember that it was Bayer that manufactured Zyklon B (used in the gas chambers in WWII by the Nazis)...is was originally used as a pesticide; later is was used as a deadly chemical in the Holocaust.  "A senior Bayer official oversaw the chemical factory in Auschwitz III.."  The Nuremberg Code came about due in a big part to the "involuntary experimentation conducted by Bayer in the concentration camp system".  Bayer | Holocaust Encyclopedia

IF a manufacturer knows their pesticide is a carcinogen and harmful to humans, animals, fish, birds, etc...they should be bound by law to report that on their label.  IMO.  But then that would mean they LIED to the FDA in getting their product approved/registered.  And now the Solicitor General has come out in support of Bayer's petition to the Supreme Court.  I wonder how much stock he owns??  Stock prices jumped 12.1% after the Solicitor General 'reviewed' Roundups case.

This is a HUGE case for the Supreme Court.  And the Trump administration is supporting Bayer.  Stock prices are the highest in the last 17 years.

Anyone think companies like this have any consideration for the consumer/public??

And now, the journal that published the paper about Roundup's 'safety', "Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology", has retracted it. This is HUGE news.  Unfortunately, regulatory decisions concerning glyphosate/Roundup were made based upon the lies in the paper.  Millions of people and animals has been exposed to this.

There have been numerous papers/research on the effects of glyphosate and health affects on humans.  And many countries have banned and/or severely restricted its use.

Will the FDA follow up on this 'retraction' and add "cancer" to the warnings on this produce?  Right now, the FDA reports "glyphosate is unlikely to be a human carcinogen".  Maybe the FDA will wait for the SC ruling.  Which is wrong on so many levels.  The FDA should have moved on this decades ago!  Before all the cancer cases went to court and WON!!

Glyphosate | US EPA

Just recently another research article was published on the carcinogenic effects of glyphosate - this is just one of hundreds:  The journal of "Environmental Health" in June 2025 published an article titled:  "Carcinogenic effects of long-term exposure from prenatal life to glyphosate and glyphosate-based herbicides in Sprague-Dawley rats."  (see info on this paper below)

Was the FDA paid off to turn a blind eye to the detrimental health effects of glyphosate?  Will the new FDA put out a warning now???

Glyphosate/Roundup "Safety" Study Retracted After 25 Years of Deception:

And after all of these years, the safety review, written by Monsanto employees, has been retracted by the Journal that published it. The "Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology" has formally retracted the landmark 2000 glyphosate "safety" review by Williams, Kroes, and Munro - a paper Monsanto and global regulators have relied on for decades to assert that Roundup poses no carcinogenic risk to humans."

"The retraction states that the article's integrity has collapsed entirely, citing undisclosed corporate authorship, omitted carcinogenicity data, financial conflicts of interest, and a complete failure by the surviving author to respond to the journal's investigation."

The article "Safety Evaluation and Risk Assessment of the Herbicide Roundup and Its Active Ingredient, Glyphosate, for Humans" states "Reviews on the safety of glyphosate and Roundup herbicide that have been conducted by several regulatory agencies and scientific institutions worldwide have concluded that there is no indication of any human health concern."  After "comprehensive safety evaluation and risk assessment for humans"..."it was concluded that Roundup and its components do not post a risk of the production of heritable/somatic mutations in humans...and studies has failed to demonstrate any tumorigenic potential for glyphosate...it was concluded that glyphosate is noncarcinogenic."  It is not "teratogenic or developmentally toxic.  There were no effects on fertility of reproductive parameters."  There were no observable adverse-effect levels were identified..."

"Roundup herbicide does not pose a health risk to humans."

The retraction came about due to the authors ignoring mouse and rat carcinogenicity studies that existed at the time.  And litigation records showed that Monsanto employees co-wrote portions of the paper.  And "the authors appear to have received direct compensation from Monsanto for producing the paper."  The paper was not written independently of Monsanto as the public was led to believe.

"This paper heavily influenced global risk assessments - including U.S., EPA, WHO/FAO and Health Canada evaluations - setting the tone for "glyphosate is safe" messaging for more than two decades."

Glyphosate “Safety” Study Ghostwritten by Monsanto Retracted After 25 Years of Deception

"European and U.S. officials have not classified it as a carcinogen, while the World Health Organization deemed it "probably carcinogenic to humans" in 2015."  The "Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology" journal "it has lost confidence in the results and conclusions of this article and believes that the retraction of this article is necessary to maintain the integrity of the journal."

This study found this weed-killing chemical doesn’t cause cancer. It was just retracted.

Here is the retraction:

RETRACTED: Safety Evaluation and Risk Assessment of the Herbicide Roundup and Its Active Ingredient, Glyphosate, for Humans - ScienceDirect

And here is an article (referred to above) on carcinogenic effects:   The researchers found "multiple benign and malignant tumors" in rats...."Early-life onset and mortality were observed for multiple tumors."  They reported that "our data are consistent with epidemiological evidence on the carcinogenicity of glyphosate and GBHS."

Carcinogenic effects of long-term exposure from prenatal life to glyphosate and glyphosate-based herbicides in Sprague-Dawley rats - PubMed

The researchers found leukemia, various skin cancers, liver, thyroid, pancreas and bone cancer and tumors in multiple organs, the pancreas, adrenal glands, uterus and CNS.

Other research has shown various cancers:
An Update of Evidence that the Herbicide Glyphosate (Roundup) is a Cause of Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma - PubMed

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) classified glyphosate as likely not carcinogenic to humans and they have not put out a cancer warning.  Our HHS Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr has considered glyphosate a substance that has contributed to making Americans chronically ill.

"Kennedy has long opposed pesticides, having helped with a 2018 lawsuit filed against Monsanto, the original producer of Roundup."

Many farmers rely on pesticides, like glyphosate, for crop production.  But they need to know what has happened with the 'safety' record of this product.  (Many may use Bayer's genetically modified 'glyphosate safe' seed!)

What RFK Jr.’s MAHA Plan Says About Weed Killers - Newsweek

This is HUGE news that the journal of "Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology" retracted their 'safety' paper on glyphosate/Roundup.  Monsanto and Bayer have failed to warn the public that glyphosate causes cancer.   They have falsified reports and mislead consumers with their advertising.   It is not "environmentally friendly" or "safe for mammals, birds and fish".  And it is not "biodegradable".   They have shown a 'lack of concern about the risk of this product.'

Yet...."The Trump administration has urged the U.S. Supreme Court to side with Bayer's case aimed at stopping thousands of cancer lawsuits over its Roundup weedkiller."  They are fighting for "food security in America."  "Bayer argues it can't be sued for leaving off a cancer warning the federal government never required, and the Trump administration agrees."  Bayer CEO Bill Anderson said "Glyphosate has been tested and found safe by every major food regulator, safety regulator in the world."  Trump's support of Bayer has caused the stock to rich its highest point in years.

Trump administration backs Bayer as Roundup fight moves toward Supreme Court

Anderson is a liar - many countries have banned its use or severely restricted its use:  It is banned in Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Qatar, St. Vincent and Grenadines, Saudi Arabia, Scotland, Spain, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Luxembourg, Germany, Malawi, Mexico, Greece and 9 other EU countries have banned glyphosate.  Many countries have severe restrictions - such as it can't be used in public places or sold to individuals.

Where Is Glyphosate Banned? 2025 Countries & Counties List

I am of the opinion that just because the government hasn't labeled a product for a particular health concern, like it is carcinogenic, doesn't mean the manufacturer is free of any liability when they KNOW their product causes health issues.  And these manufacturers are suppose to report their testing to the FDA - all of their testing and not cover up the 'problems'.  Monsanto lied about the safety of glyphosate.  Now they want the lawsuits stopped or curtailed. They should be held accountable.

Bayer's stock is now the highest it's been in 17 years.  Follow the money.  Their stock was worth 5.27 a share Dec  6, 2025....Dec 5, 2025 it's now 9.67 a share.  Somebody is making a whole lot of money.  They can't have this case fail in the Supreme Court.  Just sayin'.
Bayer Aktiengesellschaft (BAYRY) Stock Historical Prices & Data - Yahoo Finance

And Bayer's stock has "surged 101.3%" year to date.  They are making money hand over fist.  Selling questionably tested new drugs, recently approved by the FDA.  How can we trust anything Bayer says about their new drugs at this point???

I'll be watching for the Supreme Court's ruling on this.

Pray for the peace of Jerusalem!

Maranatha!
